I don't know if this really even matters or not, but I'm just going to offer a few onservations I have made. When I first got my Prime back in December the estimated miles after a full charge on the odometer was listing around 33.1. Obviously, I got nowhere near that. I did manage to get over 26 miles a few times. This before I learned when to use Ev, and when not to.

Now that I have begun to consider myself somewhat of an advanced amateur I've gotten closer to 30 miles many times. Besides that though, the estimated miles after a full charge have increased to 38.4 miles. Strangely enough. Granted, switching between Ev and ICE makes actual figures difficult to accurately measure, but I can definitely hit 30 miles. Before anyone gets to critical many of these miles are going downhill.

Anyway, I'm just curious what other Prime owners are seeing and/or what actual results they are managing.

I'm averaging well over 32 miles of EV only range with mostly Surface Street driving around 40 miles per hour. If I drive strictly surface streets and that speed range, I can exceed thirty five miles of EV only range. Last night I drove up to 79 miles per hour with extended cruising of 65 to 79 miles per hour on the freeway with about half surface street driving at 40mph average (no A/C) and only got 32 miles of range.
I use the Odo B which I set to 0 at the beginning of my travels and then I check it at the end when I get ready to charge the car. I'm on level streets.

the only way to get the indicator to a reasonably accurate number is to drive all ev until it runs out on a regular basis. otherwise, you're fooling the software by constantly mixing ev and hv, using the ev where it is most efficient.

When I first got the car in November, my estimated mileage was in the low 20s with actual being similar. Fast forward to 4 months later, and warmer temperatures, my estimated mileage is in the low 30s with actual being 25-28. I always drive with AC Auto on set at 73 or 76. I could probably get closer to the estimated mileage, but the last part of my daily commute in the evening is at freeway speeds (75-80 mph) for about 6 miles so I eat up the electricity. I still make it home with 2-4 mile range left.

23 miles showed up when I picked up the car. 26.2 miles nowadays. However, the mileage will change during your driving so even 26.2 miles at the beginning of the drive, the car actually ends up with 22 miles or even less.

I posted this in another thread. Temp, wind and driving techniques all affect EV range. When it is cold my EV range goes down from estimate and when it is warmer I usually beat the estimate on my morning commute.

Never been as cold as you, but running A/C out here cuts 35.9 miles down by 1.8 mi (at the very beginning of the trip). The eventual outcome is also strongly affected by freeway speeds over 55mph. 75mph and up really tears up the mileage.

Yeah, speed kills ... (mileage). I'm one of those Prius drivers others hate, speed limit most of the time and 60 on the Parkway. But my blood sugar is fine. lol.
Been a hyper-miler for many years now. As such, I'm loving the Prime!

Does anyone else's ev % drastically change (drop) with A/C on, even in eco A/C mode? I mean I average 28 miles on ev only, based on over 80 commutes to work. Never used the A/C in ev mode until today because it was 80 deg f. today. After a few minutes I noticed the ev % was dropping what seemed twice as fast than all my other commutes, so I turned the A/C off. All other driving conditions were like all the previous except A/C was turned on...

So I guess the 25 miles or so rating is with all accessories A/C/lights/loads off?

Not necessarily, many factors including temp, wind, driving style, among other things like using A/C ECO mode. Lights, being LED, don't affect as much as the regular ones did. To get the best, you have to drive the way the car wants, not the way you want.

I actually live in the foothills of the Sierras, so when I go out my minimum drive is going to be 46 miles. I have learned to just not use Ev when going up anything more than a slight incline, at speeds over 60 mph, or whenever I use the heater or AC. I will often return home with several miles left on the charge. But after looking at the increase on my power bill I have found it's cheaper to use gasoline compared to the risk of going into tier 3 on my power bill. Next stop is going solar.

I put solar on my car so I can stay in EV for my 35 mile commute for work, my work does not have a place to charge. It works well and is totally separate from the car so it's not a warranty issue.

I'm getting consistently 31 miles ev with heat on. This is when temperatures have mostly been 10 - 34. When it goes up to 40 or 50 I see a 10% spike. There's a huge difference when I don't use the heatpump. I'm curious what will happen when it's 70s..

Wow! How do you see out the back? What efficiency are the cells? I wonder how your install is compared to toyota s

I can still see out the back pretty good, because the angle of the back is so long/shallow it leaves a decent amount at the bottom to see out when looking out rear view mirror. 400 watts (2- 150's and 1- 100) - 21% efficiency solar panels. I think Toyotas install is part of the roof, mine are just sealed on, and I saw a diagram of what looks like Toyota inputs their panel output to the cars charger, mine has to use the charge cord.
