I have a customized phone mount for sale. This mounts conveniently in place of your 3rd Gen hatchbacks shift knob. Remove your old shift knob, and replace it with this mount! This has followed me through 3 different Prius. I'd love to use it again but I moved away from that car platform.

I'm not sure if it fits or how well it fits with other vehicle platforms.

What phones fit in this? There are a number of phones that can/could fit this. I've used this with all Nexus phones, Blackberry Classic, Samsung Galaxy S line.

    Fitment constraints:
    - If you want to use a charger located at the bottom of your phone while it's sitting in the mount, it must be centered in the middle of the phone.
    - The charging connector can be no larger than 1.2CM. Micro USB, USB-C, and Apples Lighting connectors fit fine. You just need to ensure the port at the bottom of your phone is centered at the bottom of the phone.
    - This can accommodate phones from 5.7CM to 8.7CM in width (if your phone is fitted with a case, please factor that into the size of your application.

    Installation:
    - Unscrew shift knob from the threaded rod of the shifting mechanism
    - Screw phone mount ball onto threaded rod. The flat side should face up. (screwing ball onto threaded rod might be slightly difficult. Use a rubber glove to provide additional grip/friction to install)
    - Slide retaining/tension ring over rod.
    - Slide phone mount onto ball
    - Screw retaining/tension ring onto phone mount.

    Use:
    - Slide phone into mount, and close adjustable arms with fingers.
    - To release phone, push the tension release button on the underside of the mount (by the cutout for the charger)

See the thread below for images of it installed on my car.
