I'm using iphone 6s with my new Prime. It's buggy. Sometimes it makes calls. Sometimes it doesn't. Or it will call from the phone itself, but not using steering wheel controls. Sometimes the phone is accessed by the car and instantly disconnects. And sometimes the audio system holds the connection to the phone even while not calling and won't play radio. A grab bag of buggy features. Anyone else have similar issues with iphone or another type of phone?

here's an idea.....buy an Android phone. This topic has been hashed over in this forum several times. Except for Android phones, very few issues with Entune and Android phones

Yup. Lots of reports coming in lately to the forum about connectivity issues. All these display problems seem to boil down to using Apple products which don't seem to play well with the new large screen firmware. Whether it is connecting with bluetooth or USB, display reboots or voice command failing with calls, it is enough to steer me towards a non-Apple phone next time I'm in the market for a replacement.

Perhaps a different issue...when watching a video (not driving of course) there is always a 2-3 second audio delay through Bluetooth. For now I have to use AUX at least for video. I also noticed this on a Toyota Corolla. Never had problems in my old 2011 Toyota Prius II

Apple just came out with OS 10.3. Try that. My iPhone 7 seems to work fine on Bluetooth. I even get text messages.

Encouraging. Please post back with the results of connectivity differences. You have the Plus, which is different firmware and display than the Premium or the Advanced have. Most of the reports of rebooting are from owners of the 11.6" display.

I am not sure if this is helpful for people having trouble, but I am thumbing through my manuals and on page 108 of the Nav System manual it says "If an iphone is connected via Bluetooth and USB at the same time, system operation may become unstable"

I just downloaded OS 10.3 Made a call that worked fine. I hope that may be the solution. I'll put my phone to the test when I have more time and see how it keeps working.

My issue is still there with the new OS. Damn, I may have to go back to the barbaric days of keeping my attention on the road while driving.

Infotainment reboots are a reliability problem. Take it to the dealer since it's free. iPhones do work in the Prius because many people have them and don't complain of problems.

I'm still having major issues with my iphone 6s connecting reliably. I am now running 10.3.1 iphone os. The same iphone works with no issues with my 2012 camry, 2012 prius, and a panasonic aftermarket in my highlander. I can also use several portable speakers and headsets with no problems. And when the car loses its mind (frequently) I need to turn off the car completely before I can use bluetooth again.
I am calling foul on Toyota on this one. I've now had it into the shop twice with no resolution. It's been 4 months of complaints without resolution. Come on Toyota!

My Android Samsung Note 5 sometimes plays music on my Prime Advanced, sometimes doesn't. Other times it connects, and displays the song that is also displaying on the phone, but no sound with phone volume on max and the car's system sound at +20 or more. Anyone else? Any ideas? Thanks!

It's a little later the same day. I ran an errand, and in the middle of a song playing on Bluetooth, it started playing several voicemails from months ago. Then it just went back to playing music again. No pattern to these behaviors. Very odd.

Check if there is an available software update available in General Settings. If there is, update the system. If that doesn't work I'd take it to the dealer.

Weird that some have the problem and others don't with the same phones and OS's. Still waiting to buy/lease a new smartphone and don't know to go for iPhone or Android until some great resolve comes up steering me towards one and not the other. I'd love to do streaming music in my Advanced but the rebooting thing gives me pause. In the meantime, my 10-year old flip phone works fine as a hands free phone connected via bluetooth in my car. I never would have guessed that would work.

I've had BT issues in my Gen3, with both iPhone 5S and when i got the 6S+, always updated to the next iOS version within a week or so of release. In the Prime (got it eo Mar), no issues at all, and I do connect to the USB port and stream music through Bluetooth. I do not use Siri nor the Prime's voice control, I do have the Prime Plus with the 7" screen ...
