I have MPG - 55 which is my old plate from my 2011 Prius. I wanted to get WATTS - UP. It was taken. But WATTZ - UP is not...so I might jump on that.

Nice! For any South Park fans I thought about getting "SMUG CAR" but decided too few would understand the reference. (It's still available in PA)

I would but Texas, they want $500+ every 3 years on top of a double yearly plate fee :( I had one for my motorcycle at first then the renew fee came do and then that is when I realized the $500 was not a one time fee. I was ok with the double yearly plate fee, The $500 every 3 years and the double fee did me in :(

Live in PA and I got IPLUGIN for my wife's first PIP and transferred it over to her Prime. She often catches people taking pictures of it and just laughs.

I design hospitals, and I hope we don't catch up with your state health regulations. Of the ones yes. Texas is the only state in the union that actually has a ADA agency review department. Sort of a good thing but more times than not bad another layer of bureaucracy.

I work in a number of other states outside of Texas and have done work in California and do have to say California by far beats everyone hands-down. Florida at times is a close 2nd

    Opinion:
Vanity plates. I've had them on some previous vehicles; one a business van that was related with what I did for a living. But... there's still some folks out there that display rage against Prii and their drivers -- parked or while driving. I'm not going to spend more $$$ to rile those disillusioned people up any more than they already are with a custom plate that plays funny on mileage or electric use that they could interpret as a cut against their political views, their smoker truck, or whatever they might be driving high on. I'll keep my already way too expensive randomly assigned plate fees and put the vanity difference towards electrons and carbon cutting.

I already had one complete side of my current Prius keyed at the tune of $2,100 repairs and paint. Don't know if it was a Prius hater, but I absolutely can't discount that possibility either. Not saying vanity plates are wrong. They can collect more tax funds for states that are broke.

Pretty sad commentary of our society today. We are devolving instead of evolving.

I'm proud to display my veteran plate with our initials on it - A&DD. Per year, it's $15 for the veteran and another $15 for vanity. If I'm not mistaken, NH vanity plates are the cheapest in the country and we have the highest percentage of vehicles with them. We even have commercial vanity plates.

I agree. The problem here in California is the population. To deal with polution and overall issues, it is a money tax base issue. As people move to Utah, Texas, Arizona etc, states will eventually have to generate revenue to take care of the infrastructure that will suffer wear and tear. The more people moving to that quiet little sleepy town, the more money will be needed to protect it. On a positive note, California was one of the first to institute smog laws, water polution laws and the like.

I had no idea personalized plates were so expensive elsewhere. Here in PA it's a one time charge of $75. (KICN GAS still available in PA)
