I joined Prius Chat a few weeks ago and I noticed several references to Mark Whaley in various threads (Mark Whaley is also my name)

Can someone tell me who or what the Mark Whaley is that everyone is referring to ?

Are you referring to your award as PriusChatter of the year? That's a bit of web magic, I think to make members feel welcomed. So, it is you! :)

Are you sure you're not the latest victim of the ["you"] tag? This tag inserts the name of the person signed in wherever it is. [you]

PS I had to edit this post to get the tag to show instead of my name.

    Hey Mark, welcome to Priuscaht.
Sorry for the confusion; it's just a little bit of "nerd fun".

Hokie's post above actually looks like this behind the scenes.

    Code:
Are you sure you're not the latest victim of the ["you"] tag?  This tag inserts the name of the person signed in wherever it is. [you]

PS I had to edit this post to get the tag to show instead of my name.
Notice that where you see your name, there is the ["YOU"] command that s/he refers to . That's the "pesky" little culprit right there. It takes the name that you logged in with (your name) and places it in the text of the message. It doesn't matter who is reading the text, thir name will be inserted.

There are people on this site with WAY too much time on their hands. I guess it helps to use some of the time you save by cruising the HOVs, and not sitting in gas stations.
