EV Switch group buy - any interest?

Hey Prius folk, I know I haven't posted much but I've been lurking here quite a bit, and am no stranger to forums... so I guess you'll have to take a credibility leap of faith to proceed. But I've got a friend who lives in Japan, who has sent me many JDM-spec Toyota parts for other Toyotas of mine. I've asked him about the EV switches, and he can get those too..

Anyone interested? This is for part numbers 84720-47010 and 90980-10964, the switch and the housing plug. And so far, this is most of what I know about doing this mod, other than reading through a few posts and write-ups about it. While my switches are procured, I'll continue reading.

Cost is likely around $50 for both, not including shipping from my house in Colorado, so figure another $5 or so? The more interest the cheaper these will be however, so please post up if you're interested. No need to send money early, if you're committed I'll front for the lot you can pay me when they get here. Though based on numbers I may want to ask for a small deposit.. but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Does that pricing seem reasonable to anyone else who has these? If I can pull this off, who wants in?

Hmmm.. ok I didn't know that. I honestly have no idea if those part numbers are for 04-05 or 06. I presume I can get them for every year, will need to do a little more research on the part numbers. thanks!

 

I should be able to get both the 04-05 and the 06. Working now on nailing down the part number for the 06 switch and housing plug, if anyone knows for sure please post that up, or point me in the right direction. And not totally sure on final cost, this may turn into a whole bunch of work just to save $10, in which case why wait we can just buy them from Sigma.

 

All good points, and like I said above why wait, just buy this from Sigma if you want. This may turn out that this ends up being a very difficult way to save $10. and truth be told, I hadn't seen these on their site until someone else pointed that out, and after I did see them there I didn't realize they were the "whole kit," not just the switches. The way you get 100 products in one big page, and the descriptions are all embedded in popups I can never seem to get in the right place on my screen to read the whole thing.. sorry Force if Sigma is you but I don't like their web site very much.

I do like some of the stuff on it though, and will no doubt be buying some of it anyway.. my only point is had I known all this before I may not have brought up the group buy on these. But I did and there's some interest so once I iron out all the details I'll confirm costs & order them for anyone who wants them.

To that end, I think we've got the part numbers figured out. Can anyone confirm that 84720-47010 was used during Aug. '03 - Nov. '05 and #5 84720-47020 was for the current model Nov., '05 ? picture attached
