Ordered a package 7 (AM) with various color options from Dianne at Carson. Added packages 6-9 and more color choices in February when I learned package 7 would not be coming to So. Cal.

Still waiting patiently-or trying to, anyway.

Hiya Paula! hey adding a few more color choices and DEFINITELY adding package 9 as a choice will help you move up a lot more quickly. I'm selling them all as fast as I get them and my travel rate's still around 3% of all allocations. It's very hard to improve that percentage because there are often times when on any given allocation, I still have cars at PORT or in the pipeline that I cannot control. Meaning, they are indeed already sold, but they are unable to be reported sold, so my percentage sale points drop slightly, like if I am supposed to earn 8 cars but I already have three in the pipeline, I will get 5 and the other three cars will go to dealers with ZERO cars. I know it seems unfair but that is how it's done and that's how dealers who sold or sell few Prii manage to get them.

I hope to be talking to you soon. I sure hate the allocation process for this car. Online ordering is the best way to gauge the volume one will need, and WHERE the cars need to go!!! And, the best way to keep the buyer posted as to their car's dates of arrival. Now, does that mean I may lose business? Yup. If someone can order locally and have a car as fast as they can with me, then that means I lose Prius (or even Highlander) business. But, in reality, I get what's fair and will continue to do that and it's best for the BUYERS of these cars to be treated fairly and with respect and care and clarity by the Mother Ship... Toyota Motors. If that path of purchase would be better for the buyers, then we need to do it. Very simple.

    Tideland Pearl #6-now home.

Got a call from Dianne on Saturday that our car had arrived. I had put my name on her list last October. We drove up to Carson from San Diego Sunday to pick it up. Dianne was off (Sorry we didn't get to meet you Dianne, but good for you!). Her colleague, Linda, was very helpful in completing the sale. No tricks and no hassels as promised by Dianne. I did not get to drive it except for 3 mile around the dealership until today. I let my husband drive "my" car back to San Diego yesterday.

I love the car and the color. And I am glad the wait is finally over.
