Removing Front seats (drive and passenger)

These 2 covers just pull off if you grab one side and kinda spread it (pull it out and up to unsnap). Just pay attention to where each cover goes. They snap back on if you hook one side and stretch it a little while pushing it down.

Call me lazy, but I only go as far as this step here. If I have extremely dirty seats I usually remove them, spray them with something like simple green, and hit them with a pressure washer. Then I go over them with a steam cleaner to suck out as much of the water as possible and catch anything I might have missed. Make sure they have plenty of time in the sun with a fan blowing on them if needed.

 

Where can I get this manual I need to replace my OEM covers front it would be good to have

 

since there are sensors and an airbag in the seats, I don't think I'd want to use a hose or pressure washer on them. if the connectors get corrosion (and it don't take much), gonna be expensive to fix.

 

True, I did mess up one sensor by getting it wet. Made sure to remove the next one. Haven't done any more yet, but they did look so much better!

 

there is a foaming upholstery cleaner the detail dept uses at the dealer. it works pretty good and only gets the seats damp.

I am about to install aftermarket seat heating in my front seats.

So the above will be very handy.

Once we put the seats back in, will I need the blue linked pages also ?
We aren’t changing the seats for different units, so I’m thinking any calibrations shouldn’t be needed, but I’m not sure on that.

The extra weight from the heater kits will be negligible, a few grams at most I would think.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea how those extra steps at the end would be done.
