Looking to add after market wheels to my 2017 Prius V. I took the hub caps off and cleaned the 16 in wheel
but would much rather have a black wheel.......any ideas or pictures of the Prius V with different wheels?
What size wheel would fit? Do the Scion wheels fit? i know they are 114.3 too

The silver spoked 17s on the v Five model are good looking (IMHO).

Paint the 17" rims black? Possibly.

AND......AIR_BOSS.......Don't think I want to spend over 2k on a set of 17" wheels and paint them black.......there is a set of 17" Prius V wheels on Ebay for $2200

They'd look good in gunmetal gray. I have a spare set with Dunlop M3 Winter Sport tires on them if you'd like to try.

Just installed Enkei RPF1 17x7 ET+45 with 225/50WR17. Adjusted to same 33 PSI front 32 PSI rear. I can barely carry the original wheels around, whereas the Enkei's feel light!

I believe Air_Boss shared this was a nice fit. (Sorry if my memory is not good). Thank you! Drives like a charm after alignment... JPEG_20200601_114429_2244511178195136523.jpg

    A couple of considerations:

Hub centering/centric rings. Ours needed 60.1 mm to 73 mm rings. I requested metal rings as my friend told me the plastic one got stuck on him when trying to mount his spare. The receipt said plastic so I was given plastic. In the year that I've kept the wheels in storage waiting for the original tires to wear down, my guy had left the store so I was given plastic as receipt noted. Concern, stuck hub ring. My solution, I found a machine shop nearby that would enlarge the center bore on the steel wheel to 73 mm, +/- 0.01 he wrote on the receipt.

225/50R17 is larger than 215/50R17. The 135/70R17 spare is smaller in diameter/circumference, so America's Tire size calculator notes if the 215/50R17 is running 65 MPH, the 135/70R17 is actually running 62.4 MPH. The difference would be larger, in the 61.x MPH range for the 225/50R17 and 135/70R17 combo. This did not sit well in my mind. I found that relative to 225/50R17 that 145/70R17 would run 62.8 MPH. I ordered a Yokohama spare from TireRack to have installed. I got a call from Nick concerned that it would not fit in the spare well. I said I take full responsibility if it doesn't and he released it to ship. I haven't figured out if it fits yet. Wheel is at the shop and may be finished tomorrow, after which I will get it mounted at America's Tire and see if I can fit the assembly in the well. My thought is to remove the styrofoam cushion at the bottom of the well hopefully making enough space.

Got the wheel back today with 145/70D17 fitted. I pulled the black foam liner at the bottom and it sits at the bottom metal on metal. Notice the center bore is now/or should be 73 mm to fit around a hub ring. I asked for a spare hub ring but they did not have any in stock. May look to buy online. Had a Nissan Rogue Sport rental overnight because it was cheaper than taking UBER home. I was checking out the spare and noticed this nice mat to cushion the spare that I now have sitting against the bare floor. (Ordered online from a Nissan dealer I believe parts.nissanusa.com. Free shipping for joining the VIP program). Hopefully it fits nicely I haven't tried it yet... JPEG_20210717_125902_5014854566133852822.jpg JPEG_20210717_125953_4690250112421692075.jpg

A shop down the street from me does custom powder coating of wheels. Just an option you might not have considered. Much cheaper than replacing the wheels, and more choice of colors.

Also note that Toyota Sienna wheels use the same Toyota logo wheel center hubcap (62 mm). I bought mine on Amazon or eBay for about $20 for a set of four. My Prius V only came without wheel covers on one side. I thought the covers were ugly anyway, so I ditched them.

Also, if you are thinking of wheels, why not upgrade to the Prius V five 17 inch wheels? I saw a recent post here on PriusChat where someone had 4 17 inch wheels with almost new tires for sale. They were selling them from their Prius five because they downgraded to 16 inch wheels to get a softer ride.

@gromittoo Just in case that was a Prius five and not a Prius v five? They have a different bolt pattern I'm afraid the hatchback vs the wagon...

Got off my butt and took out the spare and lay down the Nissan Rogue (Sport) spare tire mat. A little big but hopefully everything goes back in place nice and tidy. JPEG_20210805_095809_5204873797760637373.jpg JPEG_20210805_100110_9092626377138252375.jpg
