2006 Gen 2 Prius. Can anyone diagnosis the condition of these plugs? They all looked the same but cylinder 4 looked wet at the base. Car burns 1/2 quart per 1500 miles.

California model 140k miles. Swapped the OEM plugs and PCV valve today. IMG_9050.jpg IMG_9028.JPG IMG_9033.JPG IMG_9045.JPG

Many Gen2 engines start consuming some oil at around 140K miles, and your consumption sounds okay.

The oil at the threads could be from a valve cover gasket leak. What did the coils look like, and did you look into the wells?

The deposits on the tips are probably from the oil consumption, via worn rings.

The car has been consuming oil since around 80/90k. The coils were completely dry. I didn't look into the wells. Could a oily #4 be caused by a partially blocked PCV valve?

How are you ordering the plugs? For example, standing at the front of the car, #1 is on your left, #4 on the right?

Correct. Facing the engine as if to remove the plugs from left to right 1-4. 4 closest to PCV. Is this correct?

Fairly normal with light ash deposits, #3 looks like it is a little lean. What are your fuel trims?

Not sure what fuel trims are. I am getting about 43mpg in mixed driving on 17inch summer tires.
