    My wife finds the 2017 Prius seats to be uncomfortable, so we're (I'm) hoping that she will like the 2018 Camry Hybrid seats. Really want to stay in the Toyota family as I've enjoyed our 2010 Prius. If the 2018 Camry Hybrid gets close to the Prius MPG (and at least equal to the Honda Accord Hybrid), then I'll be sold on it. Now, for those seats...

    my wife has had seat trouble ever since she hurt her back over 20 years ago. she tried many different cars, and the only seat she has ever found comfortable is the camry. she's on her fourth in 15 years, and the seats have nevr changed. no problem going to florida and back in it.

    While I have no way to confirm this, it appears to be a presentation from the Toyota dealers convention in Las Vegas noting the 2018 Camry engines.

    Note that it says "Delivering over 50 mpg" for the hybrid powertrain. Yea!

    Can't wait for the reviews to start rolling in about the new Camry's (and who is ever excited about a new Camry?). On another note, looking forward to see that Hybrid Engine in the next Rav4 Hybrid model; a 40+ MPG Rav4 would be a game-changer.

    Sounds fantastic.

    Great upgrade for Gen 2/3 owners who can't plug in. (and are ok with a sedan vs. hatchback).

    Well I picked up on a few nuances in the manual


    • SKS range has shrunk to 0.7m (2.3ft). Thus far, it's been 1.0m (3 ft)
    • There are two types of DRCC offered in the Camry - with and without full-speed capability (can't wait to hear the dealers explain that or know the differences)
    • There are two 2.1A USB charging ports available
    • Homelink-equipped vehicles have 2-way communication capability (if your garage has a 2-way homelink capable garage door system)
    • There are vehicles with and without LED bulbs (front/rear parking, front/rear turn signal, reverse)
    • Apparently Toyota doesn't want you to change the headlights yourself.
    • The backup camera has a pedestrian detection and notification buzzer/on-screen symbol
    • The wipers tuck under the hood, so there is a "Service" position if you need to access the wipers to replace it (or lift up to prevent ice/snow build up)

    If the new 2018 Camry hybrid can achieve somewhat similar mpg as my 2016 Prius, I would be very interested in trading up for the Camry. I currently average about 58-61 mpg in my Prius, and if the new Camry can do even 50 that would be great.

    And hopefully, the Camry just for the fact that it's a Camry, will stop most of the irritating tailgaters.

    I also miss having a real trunk. The hatchback is not working too well for me. In the past I drove mid-size sedans with trunks and it was much better.

    knowing toyota, the epa will be lower than the actual. we're achieving 45 in good weather, i'm expecting 50's in the next gen.

    Would also be interested in one too... my Gen 3 Prius would be 8 years old by then and being made in Japan, it's quite appealing to us folks down under! We just hope Toyota don't priced it too high... just maybe wait a couple of years for the 1st year bugs to be ironed out then we are good to go!

    The way I got rid of most is to drive faster than them and install a dashcam as well, preferably rear facing one too. OK, you still might get some idiots, like the ones in black BMWs, but that's OK, I have a dashcam. I had one trying to irritate me by tailgating, and then trying to do a quick overtake, only to slow right down when he saw my front dashcam... he aborted the overtaking. I didn't have to do anything, just drive at the speed limit.

    improvements i'd like to see: larger trunk, plug in option, better console design, larger screen, fit and finish, lower price.
    it's a camry, how many buyers care about handling?

    "The 2018 Camry Hybrid is available in three grades, LE, SE, and XLE. In addition to its enhanced handling and driving performance, the hybrid version of the new Camry achieves outstanding fuel efficiency with a best-in-class EPA-estimated mpg of 51 city/ 53 highway/52 combined on the LE grade, an impressive 30 percent increase for combined mpg, and 44 city/47 highway/46 combined on the SE and XLE, reflecting an increase of 21 percent for combined mpg."

    I'm initially disappointed in the SE/XLE mpg...
