Would anyone care to list the 3 "pleasant" and 3 "unpleasant surprises that came from your Prius c? I suspect this subject has been discussed a few (dozen) times in the past, but I'll list it anyway :)

    Mine are:

+1. Excellent traction and control thereof. As experienced while driving in the snow/rain and during emergency braking

+2. Roominess inside vs. small footprint ("TARDIS effect")

+3. Most people describe Prius c as attractive - completely unexpected .. I thought it was a small hybrid for stingy people who don't care what their car looks like.

    -
    1. The whole sound system (2014, grade 2) is both primitive and confusing

    - 2. The rear window is unbelievably tiny ...

    - 3. A number of small, nonsensical problems : Sometimes won't shift into the EV mode when it should .. sometimes heating/AC temperature regulator doesn't work properly .. the mpg readout is almost always 5-10% off ...

    Plus side:

    1. Mpg better than expected.
    2. Pretty hospitable for a sub-compact. Compliments on looks too!
    3. Sportier feeling than regular Prius. Not as gutless as you'd expect

    Negative side:

    1. Lots of road nose at high speeds.
    2. Mysterious noises. (Tapping noise near glove box) (light popping noise when passenger window is fully rolled down).
    3. No beeping when locking doors.

Most of my gripes are pretty small. Love the car and I'd buy it again!

Well the fuel economy wasn't a surprise, so I guess I'll have to skip that one, although it's probably my biggest "like" about the car.

    Pluses:

    1. Really tight turning circle makes the car super-maneuverable.
    2. Bluetooth phone support. This is my first car with hands-free phone support and I love it.
    3. Absolutely solid reliability. Not one single thing has gone wrong in the three years I've owned the car.

    Minuses:

    1. Cramped engine storage compartment makes window washer fluid level almost impossible to judge - just have to fill it up each time.
    2. Tiny rear window means I have to remove the headrests to get an acceptable rear view.
    3. Idiotic layout of the hands-free phone buttons. Really - the TOP button to hang up and the BOTTOM one to pick up? I lost the first few calls because of this.

    Pros
    1. Better than expected fuel. Putzing around side streets and 35mph areas. I tend to show high 60s-low 70mpg on average.
    2. All of the conveniences I could ever use and nothing extra that I don't need.
    3. A lot of room in the car. Plenty of space and it's comfortable. It's a toyota.

    Cons
    1. The plastic scratches WAY too easily and rattles unnecessarily.
    2. The tires being in the thin side of width dont take potholes too kindly.
    3. Cant delete radio stations that have been set on your list.

    Pros
-great all around work commuting car
    -great reliability (so far)
-kinda sporty or as sporty as a prius can get (small footprint, easy to maneuver, great to throw around traffic circles, etc...)

    Cons
-hard to put in/take out my babies (I hit my head or I hit their head)
    -road noise
-needs like 50 more horses (even if it costs MPG a bit, I wouldn't mind)

    pros:
    - gas mileage
    - size
    - turning radius

    cons:
    - the seats are horrible.
    - road noise
    - overall quality of the car (squeaks and rattles, little popping noises here and there). expected more from toyota

    pro's:
    - boredom relief (always striving for the best mpg gives me something to do)
    - looks + a color of paint that isn't like everything else on the road.
    - fun to drive

    cons:
    - when you need the HP of the engine to kick in, it's lacking. Seems like 0-60 in about 2 light years.
    - back seats don't "fold flat".
    - EV mode is for the most part a gimmick.
