I also created a second request for an enhancement to the ChargePoint app and website based on my experience this week charging and seeing that the miles added estimate by ChargePoint was way off.

I have noticed a disparity in the ChargePoint EV miles per charge and the Toyota Prime EV miles per charge. In order to correct the discrepancy I first compared the numbers over the charge period then computed the slope of each line and divided the slopes to come up with a simple multiplier to approximate the Toyota Prius Prime's numbers which I know to be correct. I am attaching the spreadsheet with these calculations.

I would like to request an enhancement where a factor like this can be entered by the ChargePoint user for each vehicle charged and this will be used when that vehicle is charged to convert the ChargePoint miles estimate to a better approximate of the vehicle itself. This will allow a better estimate and you will not need to make any major changes to the existing UI, only accept and store a single conversion factor along with each vehicle registered. It is also a fairly straight forward change to make as opposed to my second thought for consideration below.

Later if you want to be more precise you could allow those ChargePoint users that want a more accurate evolving factor to enter the actual mileage their car reports for each session and then use this to calculate the factor to correct all past and future mileage estimates.

I think the improved accuracy would appeal to a large section of the ChargePoint community.

This would be a pain but you could always just flip the breaker switch everytime you leave. This would stop anyone from using it since there's no juice going to it.
