We just got a Prime Premium at Koons Toyota in Easton, MD. I kept hoping that the dealer in my home town, Dover, DE, would get one in but that didn't happen so yesterday we bit the bullet and drove to the nearest place that had a couple on the lot. Luckily for us, they just that day got in a second Premium model. We had a choice between blizzard pearl and titanium. We took the titanium. The drive home was an unintentional hypermile event because my wife who followed me home in our trusty Honda CRV did not want to exceed the speed limit. The battery was depleted because it had just been delivered by a driver from Baltimore but even without the battery I got 66 mpg. The auto-dimming bright lights were amazing. I had to shift some piles of junk in the garage to locate the outlet nearest to the charger port. Plugged 'er in and sat down to thumb through the manual. I am now Inspector Gadget and not just a car driver.

Two quick questions for you folks on the forum... this Premium obviously tells me that I have left the lane but does it actually nudge you back into the lane? And are many of you flicking to the B setting on the shifter when coming to a stop to gain charge?

Look up lane keep assist and use B only on long decents.

Don't bother with B. Use cruise control where possible, and careful easy breaking. With cruise control, going downhill, the car will automatically charge for you while keeping speed constant.

Thanks, folks. I mistakenly thought that the steering correction on lane assist was only on advanced model. Now I see it is there for all of them. And I will reserve B Mode for downhills.

Lovely! Congratulations. I also ordered the titanium. In a mere 6 months or so, I should be showing mine off as well.

MNdriver, as the president of the "fly over states" support group, you must be the last to get a Prime. Like the captain doing down with the ship.

Nice photo! It was 9 degrees F the day I picked up my car and so I didn't even think of taking a picture. Ruby Too has salt on on the paint now (!) so I'll have to get 'er washed and then do the glamour shot ;)

You're gonna love it. I took a trip to Baltimore today with a full charge. 150 miles round trip. 70 mpg. Yay!

Congratulations! Nice car!(y) I don't think anyone has said this, but the steering assist does nudge you back in the lane. It's very subtle and gentle though.

Thanks Lectrofuel. I haven't really put it to the test yet because of heavy traffic but I hope to experience it on the open road at some point.

I am having issues with steering assist. On the test drive, December 31st 2016 which was the only time until recently when I started using it, the correction and nudge were significant. Months later I find that the functionality is hit or miss. All of the alarms and indicators go off. But The local dealership troubleshot to their limits. Now the issue has been referred to regional support. Regional told them to compare to another Prime to determine is the "concern" was endemic or systemic to Primes. Unfortunately, I had to travel from NC to MD to purchase mine, so they have nothing to compare.

I can not feel any nudge at all. Is there a setting for that?

Yes, my observations in real world driving have (so far) shown B Mode to help keep the battery charged longer -- but ONLY when using EV Mode (and you only get the benefit if you're doing city/rush hour driving, not driving 75mph). See my post here:
Driving in "B" Mode Regularly | PriusChat

    And then... congratulations!
