This is beautiful. I wasnt planning on charging my car all that often since I live in an apartment complex and have to climb up a hill out my back window(only way to park close enough to charge it) to plug it in, but the EV mode and not using much gas has me thinking it is worth it.

I warned my neighbors not to call the cops on my and that I'm just plugging my car in if they see my crawling out my window. Lol

    My recommendations:
    1. Replace the male plug on the EVSE and the female socket on a heavy duty, short extension cord with an all-weather plug: [IMG]
    2. Make a weather-proof, splice of the EVSE cord onto a heavy duty, short extension cord. This is technically more challenging but can be done.
    3. Use an extension cord, all-weather protector:

I only charge when the weather is nice and I watch it from my couch when it's charging. Don't want anyone making off with my $40 extension cord. The cord is 12 gauge 15amps and checking the cord every so often, I can't feel any heat from the wall outlet or cord.
