California License Plates + HOV Sticker

In regards to HOV "cheats", I took the Prime out today for a long 405 drive during rush hour.

Driving back home, I saw two cheats (one with a NY plate) and one Volt "jump" the double-yellow lines to get in before the opening.
But... on the way up this morning, I saw three (3!) times the CHP was ticketing someone for driving solo in the HOV lane! So yes, a lot of people do it, but at least this morning, the CHP was out in force to get some of the cheaters.

It was my first day out with the Green Stickers...
Kind of deja vu from years ago, when I had the original gold stickers...

 

I-110 South passed USC this morning I saw a motorcycle CHP peeked into vehicle in the HOV toll lane.

 

I15 South (Escondido, beginning of Fastrak/carpool )seen a CHP parked many times, seen many times CHP pulling over cars in the carpool lanes, however, I've been commuting slightly after the core commute hours, during core commute hours, no cop to see anywhere, only when there's an accident ...

 

Will you guys (DMV) please cash my check!

 

I wish CHP would do something on I5, lots of cheating and I never see anybody get pulled over. I have seen a few times cars pulled over for violating the ramp lights but not lately.

 

2nd weeks in a row. My check has not been cashed yet.

 

It really is frustrating, but many have been through it, and Mr. Arc, the moolah will come!

what frustrated me is that my certificate shows issued on May 9 (I mailed application ~ 5/1), check cleared my bank 5/17 and stickers were in the mail 5/25 ... @ArcPrime - the wait will be over soon, hang in there ...

 

Got my stickers yesterday! Took about 9 days, sooner than expected.
My wife is trying them out today.

They have not cashed my check either. This is my 4th week after mailing my check.
A Chevy Bolt no license plate yet however there was a White decal passed me on I-605 north and jumped on carpool lane yesterday afternoon.

 

Dealers can request stickers with VIN only... us normals need license plate #

 

I know. Two days ago I saw a Chevy Volt on I-105 west bond with a Green decal. License plate number is after mine it's May 2018. Chevy dealer must apply decal for their customer. Toyota dealers need to do better.

 

ArcPrime, you are so right! I bought my Prime at Toyota of Huntington Beach. They never offered to get the stickers for me. I waited for my license plates, got them in four weeks, then ordered the stickers on May 28. No idea when I will get them, but the dealer told me it would be 8 to 10 weeks. If that's true, then it's basically three to four months after vehicle purchase. Not happy about that, but I love the Prime in any case!

 

My license plate starts 7X purchased 04/22 issued 05/08. Chevy Volt I saw starts with 7Y sticker is May 18 already has his green decal. Dealer must have applied decal at purchase.

 

Dealers, at least most of them, are not ready. My sales persona told me I had to go to the DMV office to apply for the stickers, and last week at my 5k service the service advisor asked me: oh, is this the plug in?

 

Too bad I finished my survey too soon. Should have mentioned about green decal. If Chevy dealers can do it, Toyota should at least to keep up with the compitition.

 

Mines a 7Y, purchased May 6, they cashed my check on Tuesday. Hope it takes a week from then.
