I was thinking of having my wife read out loud all of the manuals while I drive. Judging from the stack, I should allow at least a week!

    Hi Phildgreat!

I have just started the PP searching recently in SoCal, Would you be kind and tell which dealer and sales you got it from? Which dealers were cheap ones during your buying experience?? Thanks!

I stopped by the Ny Long Island dealer for the Prime Advanced. He told me he has a pearl white and can sell me with the invoice $34,000 price (extra cost for color, car mats, wheel locks). There is $2,500 toyota incentives and $1,100 for NYS. So it's $30,400 plus tax and fees. $4,500 tax credit is for next year when I file tax return.

Wonder if it is a good deal or should I expect more discount from manager?

What kind of the discount should I ask for? Went to 2 dealers and both told me i can get the invoice price.

invoice price means nothing. if you look back through this thread, people are getting at least $2,500. off of msrp in the northeast.

unfortunately, you'll have to search this thread for the best deals and specific dealers. i would start by looking at local inventory on dealer websites, and see what kind of deal you can get. if they aren't satisfactory, this thread has specific deals with details.
i believe the best deals have been in maine, with other states running $500.-$1,000. less off msrp.

Berlin City Toyota in Portland, ME. Contact Dominick Bernard for a quote. Also contact Langway Toyota (Newport, RI) and Tarbox Toyota (North Kingstown, RI). If the prices are close buy from Berlin City, a few Priuschat users and I have had good experiences. Same with Tarbox, but prices weren't as low for me. I got the lowest quote from Langway but in the end just used it to get a more competitive quote from Dominick, as Langway was unresponsive with emails. Of course, you should carpet bomb as many dealers as you can handle.. Just go to their websites and fill the e-quote form. Use a disposable email and a fake phone number (or leave it blank if not required). When filling the form, explicitly ask for lowest price they can give over email.

Thank you, how do you like your premium? I am still unsure of whether to go premium or advanced and was wondering how you were enjoying your premium?

For me the Advanced wasn't close to my price range so it was between the Plus and Premium. There's nothing I feel like I'm missing too much out on though except that HUD.. Seems cool!

With the Advanced, you get the foglights, the Blindspot monitoring, the backup monitoring for cars/Presbyterians approaching your behind from either side, and of course the HUD which is cool. All those extras are worth it to me over the long haul! I'm sure I've forgotten some toys, but that's what comes to mind!

I will likely go for the advanced because I love the red/moonstone combo. I was actually a bit confused about if I would ever use the apps... or if the advanced looked like you paid for more features ($3k is a sizeable difference) The feature I think I will love, hopefully, I can get a good deal on it (aiming for 32k OTD). With the incentives, I can get it down $5300 which makes it almost as much as a Prius 2 ($25K).

Another off topic question, does the car easily stain (particularly the white interior?) I want moonstone, but not sure if the seats easily stain and are necessarily visible. I will keep this clean if I can, but I always go for black to avoid issues

Softex is easy to clean. Not sure about the Plus trim's cloth.

If you want a fully loaded Prius, at least you got tax credits for the Prime to get the Advanced options cheaper than a regular Prius 4 trim options. After credits, I paid about $29000 for a loaded Advanced model.
