We have a 2014, wife's car, bought 9/14. Has only 18,100 miles on it. Last oil change 9/16 with 14,500 miles on it. . About to take a 2,500 mile trip. Should I get oil changed, even if only has 3,600 miles on it? Has had no problems at all. What do you think?

I would change it if I was going to take a long distance trip.

I would leave it until after your trip, get a little bit of your money's worth on the oil change

Probably no. For sure not immediately before the trip, in case something gets screwed up. Where in the big wide world are you btw, the schedules vary. I'm assuming USA.

That depends. Do you know what oil is in it now? The 10,000 mile oil change interval only apples to 0W-20 synthetic oil. If you don't know what oil is in it now, I would change it at no more than 20,000 miles on the odometer with 0W-20 synthetic oil.

Not only that but...an early oil change never hurt anything other than the wallet for $35 and 1/2 hour of time.

This is a personal choice. I would look at clarity of the oil. I would say 12 months change oil, if I felt like it, But I agree with Navy above, if I knew I was going to have a long drain interval. I would use Mobil-1 Extended or something like that, and then I would go maybe 2 years,

    Every 12 months or 10,000 miles ,
my dealer offers $ 9.95 synthetic oil and filter and 20 checks if the vehicle was purchased from them
