Hi everyone! My name is Joe I am new here! So glad to see so many other happy prius drivers,

I have a 2004 Toyota Prius with 202000 miles on it. The other day it just didn't shift into drive or reverse. After I ran the diagnostic on it. It gave me 3 error codes. LAN EMV error codes and sub codes.

    EMV
    Code- SubCode
    01-D5 190-56-A
    01-DC 1C6-E4-F
    01-DC 190-F4-F

(The check engine light is on, the ABS light is on the the "(!)" is on). The red triangle was on but is no longer on.

If anyone can help me with what these codes mean or where I can look up what these codes mean, it would be extremely helpful! I'm hoping it' just needs a new hybrid battery because that's an easy fix!
    Thank you everyone!

I am reading the codes from the diagnostic mode on the vehicle.

You found the diagnostic screen for the entertainment and nav. Someday you might want to look up those codes too, but they aren't your priority when you've got check engine, ABS and brake lights. For those you need to read those computers' diagnostic codes using a Prius-capable scan tool plugged into the OBD-II port. (Failing that, at least for the brake/ABS codes, you can get them with a jumper wire by counting light blinks; in a Gen 2 that might work for the engine codes too.)

After taking care of those functional issues, you can get back to any errors shown for your entertainment and/or nav system on the screen you found.
