Eug (post #537), if you're still on the planet: I would have called it good with the plug repair.

Anyone have a 2009 Touring. I may need to get another set and wondered what was best for MPG.

    Size: 195/55R16

Hey, that's a lot of technical stufff. Please, I just spent a day researching tires. I need help! 2015 Prius 3. Simply, what is the best all weather tire? I live in Amarillo, usually hot dry summers, and unpredictable winters other than we can count on occasional black ice. Safety, quiet, MPG are tops with me. Thanks, everyone--I simply cannot read everything here about tires. I am setting my decision deadline for the third week of July (2017) :)

you need to be in the gen 3 forums, but you can't go wrong with Michelin. continental and yokohama are good too. for wet roads, general altimax have always been highly rated. low rolling resistance tires are a must if you want mpg, but bridgestones got lousy traction, so that brings us back to Michelin or continental

Bridgestone is the best. Ecopia EP422 Plus that comes on many new Prius. Most Walmart's carry these in stock.

I see, said the blind man. tire rack did some good testing, and there was a Michelin LRR tire which beat all the others. I will most likely get Michelins when these ecopias wear out because traction isn't very good.

I thought the UK spec was 195/55R16 tyres? If you are looking to go to the smaller width tyre, you will need to choose a 185/60R16 to minimise the discrepancy in diameter. The 60 ratio profile is closer then the 55, being that that is the ratio of width to height. In any case make sure the tyre you get is rated A for fuel efficiency and A/B for wet grip.

The information in this thread will not be too applicable to you as the EU tyre situation is quite different from the US.

That is a good deal. What specific Michelins did you get?
