Temperature makes a difference also. If one day it is ~75° then goes to 60° the next day there will be a definite drop in EV miles as seen in my charts posted earlier.

in keeping up with tradition, I am posting Pic's that have nothing to do with this thread, because I'm too lazy to start a new thread, or find a place to stick em on a thread that's relevant :D:p poor squirrel 6-24-2017 front A119 dashcam.JPG Poor squirrel 6-24-2017 rear A119 dash cam.JPG

Entune is now showing 31 mi 2 weeks after having it. The weird thing is dash only shows 27.8. Do you guys see the same on your dash and Entune?

I agree with Mr. Joachim, it's probably the fact that you have the A/C on; turn it off and your reading should be close to Entune. Remember, Entune rounds off the decimals.

Like a lot of shows it may take a while to get into, but we think it is very good. It does what a lot of American situation comedies aren't brave enough to do, it cuts very close to the bone.

So... IF "moi" is doing the math right: You traveled 222.3 miles HV... your Prime "thinks" you used a total of 3.328 gallons for the entire 250.6 miles (250.6 / 75.3 = 3.328)... which "suggests" you averaged 66.8 mpg for the 222.3 miles traveled in HV mode (222.3 / 3.328 = 66.8). Yes? No? Thoughts? Anywhooo... BOTH the 28.3 EV and the 66.8 HV mpg (if correct) figures are pretty impressive to "moi's" way of thinking!

HV mode uses the battery also. That makes up for the discrepancy. The only way to get true gas mpg's is to use the %EV usage from the MFD and figure what your gas only usage is.

In HV mode, any energy added to the battery ultimately comes from the ICE (like an a non-plugin hybrid). HV mode keeps the battery charge within a small range. Even if the ICE happens to be off at a given instant while in HV mode, the energy from the battery being used at that instant is really came from the ICE. So I would think that (assuming no externally provided charge from plugging it in), that mpg in a hybrid is just how much gasoline did you consume over a particular distance, regardless of what percent of the time you were directly using the ICE, or indirectly using the ICE via charge obtained from the ICE. How to factor in externally provided charge in the case of a plugin, I am not sure. And if there is a long downhill at the end of the trip, and you end up with more charge than you started with, that is another complication. Am I missing something here?

Hi I have an '06 Prius and am looking at the Prime. So what is the 133 miles that Toyota have listed. Is that a combination of the charge, and the hybrid? I saw the spreedsheet and I saw people posting mileage around 100. I'm not clear how they go that. I perhaps should post this separately but how many people are charging using the 110 v approach and how long does it take?
