Hmm, remember the "D" in bird class....

Looking at the list provided, I think they were rufus and anna's hummers.

Last tetanus in 2008. Due Oct. 2018.

Speaking of injuries, my poor winter-injured wrist did quite well with the tire changes. I was a bit apprehensive.

A particularly 'chill' ER physician told me that large puncture wounds require Tetanus booster. That small puncture wounds act as Tetanus boosters. :)

Cardinals and blue jays are a favorite. Unfortunately, found a female cardinal that must have hit the garage window last week.

He sees his own reflection, much as they see their own reflection in outside rear view mirrors. The BMW i3-REx has a mirror folding mechanism which angles the mirror so the bird can't see the reflection. In the spring, it significantly reduces the amount of bird poop on the car.

"remember the "D" in bird class"@21. In the largest possible sense I do not care. This would have been a matter between you as (perhaps) a student with more urgent matters elsewhere, and a teacher (unknown to me) who might have dropped the ball.

Much more important is that you notice biological world around you, interact in some sensible ways with it, and communicate those interactions here. Or somewhere else.

It is possible that some of your bird classmates graded "A" have done less in those regards. My endless goal is that folks 'get this', by whatever means. Schooling sometimes does fall short. Living outside cities, with eyes open, sometimes does better.

In the great state of Oregon, I know there are many people who could open your eyes even wider. So much fun/play/learn.

But that seems not our narrow goal here. Just make your wheel nuts not apt to fall off (bad) or so tight as to strip lugs or inconvenience a needed roadside do over.

I actually worked for the U.S. Geological Survey for several years doing aquatic species and ecosystem surveys. I loved the work, but left it nearly three years ago, since the pay was marginal for the long hours spent in the field hauling 70 pounds of gear around the various peaks and drainages.

I love wildlands and wildlife, just have never been that good with the feathered friends! While I miss the work, I am thinking I may have made a wise choice with the way the USGS budget has been slashed and burned in the past six months.
