i charge with 110 and it takes about 5 and a half hours for full charge. I have it set to departure and it starts on its own and is done about 30 minutes before i leave.

133MPGe. That's 133 Miles Per Gallon Equivalent. A Gallon Equivalent is 33.7 kWh of electricity from the wall put through the charger and into the battery.

I do, and I think most people do. Takes about 5 1/2 hours from 0 Ev miles remaining.

There is a huge difference between a 2006 Prius and a 2017 Prime. The Prime is a luxury vehicle with countless improvements in safety, quiet, luxury, performance, and of course fuel economy. If you drive conservatively, I say like a Crippled Snail, you can run on electric charge for as much as 35-37 miles. If you can use a 240V charger, the car will charge from empty in about 2 hours, otherwise 110V charging will take about 5.5 hours. If you don't use electricity at all, and drive conservatively, the car will probably get about 70 miles to the gallon. Remember, a lot of factors affect this including ambient temperature, speed, rate of acceleration, payload in car, use of A/C, heating, tire pressure, etc. If you travel short distances, like shopping, banking, work, like I do, you can use the car in EV (electric mode), and rarely burn gasoline. Several people here like me have gotten sensational fuel economy; my last fill up, after 1500 miles, I averaged 204 miles per gallon of gas burned thanks to running a great deal on electricity!! Also the Prius is one of the highest rated cars for reliability. I wish you good luck in your research and believe you would be very happy with the Prime. Good luck!

what Toyota is posting is MPGe, i honestly am not sure how that number is calculated, others know, or google it ... in real life, i charge at home overnight at 110V, complete charge takes ~ 51/2hrs, which works for me, a L2 charger (240V) gets it done in ~21/4hrs ... for me, I get ~ 120mpg commuting (100 mile roundtrip), charging at home and at work, do ~ 1200miles and 10gal every 2 weeks (I did little less than half in my Gen3). Of course everyone's situation is different, for me, the operation cost (gas and electricity) is ~ 2/3 of what my Gen3 ran ... there are plenty threads here that talk about EV mile range (some seem to be getting closer to Toyota's 25 miles, others get 35 and even more ... your mileage may vary ... enjoy browsing the forum and ask questions ... also check out the posts about tax credits and rebates

The actual time will be dependent on delivered voltage at the connector, battery temperature and in some cases settings. That's why I said "about". I've had it take anywhere from 5:10 to 5:50.

The driver is always responsible for the car in front, not visaversa. If people behind me get angry, that is their hang up. my obligation is to stay in the far right slow lane. The problem in Ca is. the irresponsible drivers want that lane too, meanwhile not realizing that you the slower driver made all that free space.

I'm not doing so well economics wise. I tabulated my miles so far when I got back from my trip. Since I was still on dealer tank of gas the stats are accurate when I embarked on my trip. so, here goes, total miles as of end of trip 7126.7 miles I spent $224.06 on gas so far. My landlord charges me $15.00/mo so $15.00 x 7 months (received car November 30th) so total "fuel" costs $224.06 + $105.00 = $329.06. tabulated all the gas I consumed 95.48 gallons do $329.06/95.48 = $3.446 per gallon. I got to stop burning gas and stay on EV for a long time, lol:eek:
