Got Exhaust Junkies Chasing my Rear End

They REALLY need to do something about that. Here's my wife's car after our incident.

 

That was a bad one.

I recall seeing it before, but terrible, what inattention and following too close ends up doing.

 

This was purely inattention. He was close to a mile away when I stopped for the light. The stupid traffic engineering here is partly to blame because they put traffic lights on 55 & 60 mph highways with no flashers to warn you the light is about to turn and they have one about every mile or less.

 

Around here on the twisty Barnett highway There's a couple of traffic lights, just beyond obscuring curves, and flashing yellow warning lights ALSO around the curve, so you see them pretty much same time as you see the traffic light.

 

You couldn't make up this kind of stupidity up if you tried!

That is not considered a problem here in the States. But then, we have so much other artificial light around that our eyes are not very dark adapted, so bright brake lights are not painful.

The old incandescent tail lamps were usually 7 watt and the blinkers/brake lights 21 watts. Not sure that this figures apply to led lamps, but blinker and brake lights are generally brighter than the running/parking lights. Of course heads and drl's are obviously brightest of all.
