    Free hand is what most shops will use. Yes, only back doors and back window are legal in California.

    I've seen so many cars with tint on the road... I'm baffled then if it's illegal!

    Most officers don't really enforce the front window/windshield law unless you drive a super modified car and/or drive recklessly and bring attention to yourself. I've never received a tint ticket in my 8 years of driving semi-modified cars. *knock on wood*

    I had prii tinted by

    extreme autowerks In Cerritos ... they are excellent but not cheap
    They are perfection!

    You buy what you get. I like perfection!

    I just had my tesla done recently and job was excellent and perfection!
