I had the P0A80 code with a P3015 code. Use my school's Snapon scan tool to see the voltage in battery block 15 low. Replaced the HV battery today and all the dash lights went away!

Problem is, the HV battery does not seem to be charging. I bought a reman'd HV battery from rockauto (A1 Cardone brand). I have not driven it for more than 10 minutes because I'm afraid of the HV battery voltage getting low again. Though in that 10 minutes, the battery dropped from 6 bars down to 2.

My thoughts - Maybe it is possible that the aux battery (which reads around 12.2v before start up) is taking more current to charge up while the car is on and therefore the HV battery is not getting as much current as it needs in order to charge?

Running aux battery voltage is around 14v btw.

    Any help is appreciated!!

Not likely to be an issue, while your 12 V battery could do with a proper charge up using and external charger (automatic one with AGM setting), that load will be a drop in the ocean compared to what the HV battery is capable of.
It is possible that the 6 bars was what the ECU remembers was the old battery's charge and the sudden drop was the ECU recalibrating to the new (to you second-hand rebuilt) battery's charge. A charitable view is that the new (to you) HV battery just needs to be charged up. You can do this by getting the car in to READY mode and after the initial warm up completes with the ICE shutting off (about 50 secs after the ICE starts, A/C off), put the emergency park brake firmly on, press firmly on the foot brake (with your left foot) and hold, put the car in D then press down on the accelerator and hold it there until all 8 bars (should be green) are filled. Once you have done this take it for a drive and see how it behaves.

A less charitable view is the new (to you) battery is defective. Do you have any DTCs?

    Thanks, dolj!

I was able to get the HV battery up to 7 bars green charging it with the method you suggested. This is the first Prius I have ever owned so I'm sure I will get used to charge patterns after a while.
