Can anyone suggest shops in Los Angeles (the Valley preferably) where they have had positive experiences having electronics installed in their Prius? I want to have a Dice installed for my iPod.

    Thanks.

This is one of the easier installs, you could do it yourself.

If not, the company that makes the DICE is based in Long Beach, they'd probably be able to install it for you. If not, most Circuit City places will install stuff like that for you.

Circuit City - aaarrrrggghhh! Would you go to McDonalds if you wanted a Filet?

I suggest Stereo City in Culver City...I used to work for them for 6+ years back in my College days. Ask for the owner Horst...and tell him that Mike Smith who used to work for Don recommended you. They are are Washington Blvd (a few blocks North of the Freeway).

Don't know if they have installed one of these, but they do excellent custom work and are very very experienced (they have guys there that have been installing for over 20 years!)

This installation doesn't require an experienced installer. Only one screw is removed in the whole process, if the unit is stored in the glove box. Seriously, print the VAIS AC100i instructions and give it to a neighborhood kid to install.

Thanks, Mike. I'll go over there.

If this is that easy, what would say an install like this could cost -- ballpark?

I installed my own.....35 mins......50 min totally everything buttoned back up!

I bet you'd spend $100-$150 to have a shop do it.
