I just did a deal in Oklahoma City for a 2017 Blizzard Pearl Prime Advanced with black Softex interior for $34,974.00. Gulf States Toyota says we have to sign a rinky dink promise to purchase sheet to verify that I'm a legit purchaser and leave a $500 check to be returned later when the vehicle arrives. The dealer sends the hand written "order to Toyota and only then will they allow the dealer to request the vehicle. This is imposed by Toyota due to the low volume of the Prime's in the central US. Some dealers were faking purchasers to fool Toyota into sending a larger allotment. It's all smoke and mirrors but I should have a vehicle in less then 3 months. (not new news here) Big oil producing state so no local rebates, just federal unless it goes away soon. Fingers crossed. I'm going to do a 70% ceramic tint and some other goodies.

I'll trade in my 2010 Prius II with 103,000 miles when it arrives.

Thanks it was time. Just had my IPM replaced under the 15 yr extended warranty last week. Brake shoes will need to be replaced soon, need to wash it, head light fluid is dirty, you know how it goes. (big grin)

    - Model/color: 2017 Prius Prime Premium, Classic Silver Metallic, Black SofTex
    - MSRP (this is sticker price) : $30,123

I posted the specifics in the other thread, but figured I'd post my final number here: $24,752

That number includes Doc prep of $499, title prep of $5, no tax (NH). Full numbers roundup here.
From reading the other price posts, it seems I got a pretty decent deal.

    MSRP 29,909
    OTD 30,495.52 (paid cash).

Purchased in 2/17, from a dealer in Moreno Valley. No one else in Socal was selling below MSRP - $1000 Toyota cashback at the time.

The dealer was very shady trying to add dealer upgrades such as lojack, paint protection, etc. I was forced to buy a $595 package which included nitrogen in tires, wheel locks and plastic film door handle and door edge protection (because they said they could not remove).

Otherwise I would have purchased OTD price at MSRP.

My mistake was not negotiating an OTD price (It's been a while (2010) since I purchased a new car).

My other mistake was I couldn't walk away. I ubered 2hrs during rush hour to pick up the car (and left my old car at work). I figured my time was worth more than $595 and I was still ahead compared to other dealers.

I qualified for the $4500 fed tax credit, but not the CA rebate. Recently Socal Edison gave EV/Plug in owners another $450. So ~$25000 for a Prime Premium was good for a California sale at the time.

    Take away:

Negotiate the OTD price (out the door price which includes EVERYTHING: taxes, registration, etc).

Rule of thumb: A good OTD price to shoot for would be MSRP.

    GOOD LUCK.

Just purchased a Prius Prime Plus, in Blizzard Pearl, from Berlin City Toyota, in Portland, Maine. Read posts in this thread and contacted Dominick Bernard. He was great to deal with. He picked me up from the airport and I was in and out of the dealership and on the road in an hour. They live up to their promise of making it "easy." I drove the 2300 miles back to Denver over 3 days, and averaged 45 mpg. This car replaces my 2007 Prius. It's familiar, and yet oh so different at the same time.

    $28,828
    - $2633 discount
    - $3125 rebate
    $34 fees
    $599 fees

    $23,703 total

7.5% sales tax in Colorado, plus $600 registration fee

If the $4502 Federal, and $5000 CO tax refunds remain, this car will have cost around $17,000. Pretty incredible given the technology and the fact you can run it on gas, or electricity. I'm happy, and grateful for the posts of other buyer's/owners in this forum.

congrats! Great deal on the Plus especially. When I was looking a few weeks ago the only really good deals were on Premium and Advanced. I am from CO also and just registered the car and although it did take a long time (guess just standard for out of state purchases) Berlin City had included everything I needed. I looked around online for the CO tax rebate form but they do not have this year's available yet, they probably wont put it up until closer to december i guess, but let me know if you find a link to it.

Hey everybody, newbie here. I'm Shay, the dog is Zane. I've put an order in on a Magnetic Blue Prime Advanced, with the dark interior. I've been told my car should be here Anywhere from 7/21 to 8/3. The first date range I received was 7/21 - end of July and today was advised of 7/28 - 8/3 as the timing.

Ready to get the car here! Total Price: $34,308. No negotiations here, because they are all strictly on an as ordered basis in this area so far. I had to put down $1000 for the dealership to order the car, and in exchange I made them give me a trade offer on my vehicle that would be good for 3 months if the car took any longer.

I currently have a GMC Canyon truck, and I'm getting rid of the gas guzzler (21mpg) to save some cash and broaden my career prospects by being open to driving farther for work with a more fuel efficient vehicle. For now I'm planning to stick with the 110 charger, but have enough space in the breaker panel to install another 240 plug should I decide to at some point. My dad and brother (an electrician) can do this for me at no charge. Edit: My current Prius experience is driving around my roommates Prius Touring 3.

Thanks! I'll be happy to have it. It will feel pretty special being the only person in the area driving one! I actually haven't even seen one in person! There are none within 200 miles of my house!

guessing yes, since they upped it from june to july. i suppose it depends on inventory levels, but they keep shipping them here.
my local dealer had 10 a few months ago, now 9, and i can see turnover.
