Boxster is supposedly the combination of "boxer" (engine) and "roadster" hehe

Hmm, I thought it was BOXer+speedSTER

From engine type (boxer) and the 1960s and 1980s Speedster

Yeah, well, if you live in the smallest state that coincidentally has the longest official name (The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations), ya gotta take shortcuts somewhere (and a sense of humor never hurts)...But you don't pahk your cahs, do you? Certainly not in Hahvahd Yahd, anyway! ;)

Still stupid--if ya gotta explain it, it ain't worth it...I mean, roadster, ok--you use it on roads. Boxster--on boxes...should be a Yugo not a Porsche!

Mustang Cobra. Is it a horse or a snake?

Yukon Denali. How can it be in two places at once? Oh, I know, 'cause it's so big.

How about Plymouth Valiant? or was it Prince Valiant?
I owned a 2nd hand car that was a two-door Plymouth Valiant and it was a push button automatic. She had the dear name of Freckles because she was a car of many colored freckles. Dad never did get around to painting her one color! :-(

OMG, when my daughter was 3 yrs old many years ago and we had just moved to Michigan, hubby was required to give up his Corolla and buy American. So we went car shopping. Needless to say, my daughter said she wanted to buy that red car over there without the top on it. It was a Red Viper! Mama Mia! At that time when the Viper just came out it was only $25,000. What it is today, I have no idea. Why would anyone want to name a very fast & expensive car after a dumb snake?!!! Beats me!

Nissan Murano -- what does an Italian city known for its glass have to do with this vehicle?
