WeatherTech floor liners, and cargo liner. These were the first after market items purchased. We're out in the country, and my boots tend to import all of the dirt / rocks / mud from our property. I will also haul concrete mix, et. al. Home Cheapo stuff when needed. So far, I've found the WeatherTech products to be rugged, and to perform as desired.

Weird? No. I think a lot of us are the same way. I'm thinking of doing the same thing in the cargo area. The default floor material does not look like it will hold up. As for the front mats, I think I'll wear them out and then get the rubber ones from Weathertech.

Another reason I doubled up on the mats, was an attempt to reduce some of the road noise/cabin noise.

    Didn't work.

But I like how the rubber Toyota mats protect the carpet mats. I hate grungy looking carpet mats.

Anyone have the "Maxliner MAXTRAY" cargo liner? It's the only one that shows up on amazon when i search for interior accessories for Gen 4. It's $80.

That's odd, I couldn't find it either. I tried "Toyota OEM Cargo Tray" but didn't see one for a '16 Prius.

The Prius Chat Shop has the Toyota Cargo Tray Plus, it's $114.99 but it includes the two extra pieces that cover the rear of the back seats. Very nice. May be able to find it cheaper somewhere else.

I was looking at that but they want to charge me $30 for USPS. I guess it's because I'm in Hawaii but USPS rates should be the same as the rest of the country and it says free shipping for orders over $59. Sent them a message.

I really only need protection for the first two feet or so where I dump my stuff after gym or hikes. Right now I'm using a garbage bag and bucket, which is good enough for the time being.

I did the same thing for awhile. Threw a big beach towel back there with 2 large plastic lawn bags on top. Nothing wrong with saving money. :)

Haha, thanks I was just looking at their mat. I like that there's a curved lip all around and looks pretty solid.
Edit: oh that $80 one on amazon has a big lip too. Well I don't know how to choose then.

2nd edit: I went with an amazon warehouse "like new" for $58. Description says it's in original packaging and for other items I've bought that way, the product inside was new, just damaged packaging.

Good deal! :) How do I find that Amazon warehouse?

(and I spelled Weather Tech wrong.)

Check the used price on any item you're looking at. The seller will say amazon warehouse. Sometimes if I'm a bit hesitant to buy something because of the cost I will wait for something to show up as "like new" and in original but damaged packaging. If it's not in the original packaging or if there's wear on the actual item I pass.

Still a couple on there if anyone else is looking for one.

The Maxliner I posted above does not fit the Gen4. Don't waste your time. It's much too wide and long--all sides end up being forced up and crumbled, and the edge lines don't match the Gen4 at all. Maybe it was good for the Gen3. I guess I should have realized it was too cheap. Will stick with garbage bags for now.

Now I've gotta haul this thing around with me and take it back to UPS to return.

Good news is I also bought the Husky Liners 98991 Weatherbeater Series rubber mats and they fit perfect. Threw them right on top of the existing passenger and backseat carpet mats. The back one lines right up to the mystery second ventbehind the driver seat that Coast Cruser found, and doesn't obstruct it.

Edit: Decided to splurge on the Prius Cargo Tray Plus - OEM via the PriusChatShop since I know I'll be throwing a lot of wet and muddy clothes in my trunk before long, so it'll be worth it. I never had a rubber mat in my old car and the trunk carpet was pretty nasty, but it was a regular trunk separated from the rest of the car so I didn't care if it smelled.

The dealer threw in carpet mats but I'm leaning towards putting all weather rubber mats on top. does that work?
Also does Prius Chat Shop deliver quickly? I read one post that seemed to say there was a big problem

You need to replace the carpet mats with all weather mats. They do not stack.
That's what I did but Amazon is cheaper than PC Shop for Toyota mats.

I assume you are talking about a Gen 4 Prius. Your profile says 2015 which is Gen 3 but should be similar.

    Prodigy Place, thanks.
My '17 Three Touring is due to be in port on the 15th. Can't wait to get the Silver Slipper.

I have the OEM All Weather Cargo mat package which includes the OEM Cargo Tray. They are obviously made to fit and the passenger compartment ones each have a nice lip on them. The cargo area mat has four velcro-attached pieces that fit on the back of the rear seats. As far as a testimonial - Yeah, I like them.

The cargo mat is different depending on whether or not you have the spare tire.
