My AC quit blowing air and the stealership says this is due to a malfunctioning MFD. is this possible? I recently replaced the evap core and the blower motor and compressor are fine.

I'm back at the dealership now and am going to make them check to be sure the AC room temp sensor wasn't left unhooked.

So thanks to Prius chat I knew about the possibility of the unhooked AC room temp sensor. After telling them to go back and make sure that it was connected properly after they replace evap core, it started working again. They claimed it was hooked up properly but it is odd that it miraculously started working right when they checked that. My guess is they just didn't want to admit a mistake.

Ha! You should charge them for the diagnostic analysis. I would talk to the service manager, you fixed their mistake, make them give you something.

I agree, call their bluff and let them know you're on to their little game! (…after all, we can't have the world getting the impression that Toyota service are run by thaumaturgists! o_Oo_O);)

Ha right? Well, it appears I've jumped the gun. It's not working again this morning. What's weird is that I can hit the dash and make it work. That method had quit working that's why I was sure it was the blower motor. But I can make the motor spin, and nothing comes out. But the dash method was working again this morning. I'm lost here. New motor in and spinning and nothing blows but I can hit the dash and make it work for now. Confounding. Any ideas?

Uh, so here's a pro tip. When you hook up a new blower motor you'll need to put it in the housing to make it blow air out of the vents. I'm a dummy!
