Driver's Side Window Problems

    I've noticed this for a short while now. At first, it wasn't a big deal, but I'm at the point where I want to fix it.

    When I set the window to auto-up, when it hits the top it makes a small mechanical squeal. It sounds like the motor is moving the window past the limit. With the window fully closed, if I click the button to auto-up, it makes the same squeal. Any suggestions?

    I have never tried to work on my own power windows so if it were me I would take it in and have it fixed if it's still under warranty, if not I would at least get an estimate.

    I had one in another vehicle that burned out a motor because it was maladjusted, if I had gotten it adjusted it would have saved me some money.

    I know this post is a little old now, but...

    Look in the owners manual for the instructions on how to calibrate the auto window.

    Your answer is better than mine Marlin, that sounds exactly like what he needs to do. Sometimes I go back and try to find good questions that should have been answered but weren't, hope Tobalt sees your answer.

    I'm looking at the manual, and the only calibration I can see for the window is a cal needed to be done if the autoup/down doesn't work. Not the problem in my case. I think my window might be misaligned; I'll check it out with the dealer.

    Mine has always made a little bit of noise going up? I have never had the auxiliary battery go dead, off or anything! I guess I should try the "recallabrate" thing
