I ordered a Pine Mica #3 on Saturday, May 20th from Power Toyota in Cerritos. Per the fleet manager, it should be here in 4-6 weeks. We shall see.

No, I live in Virginia so there is less of a need.

Have you gotten a chance to see the Silver Pine Mica in person? I've found relatively few decent photos of that color around, and it seems to look very different in different lighting (in photos at least), the rest I've seen look like lousy camera phone photos.

We ended up ordering a Driftwood Pearl earlier this week from a dealer in Chicago who quoted us a much better wait time (and price) than those in Colorado (4-6 months??). It's too bad that more dealers don't have any sort of inventory or stock flow of Priuses so we can see what we're buying before it arrives. I haven't seen a green in the area, even. We ended up going with the Driftwood as we live two miles back on a dirt/gravel road with orange colored Colorado dirt :)

Someone should put up a site with good quality photos of each color for each model year so people have an idea what to expect! I'd be happy to, if I could find decent photos from enough people.

It is funny actually. Toyota uses the green color in their tv ads and in their brochures, but the green is hard to find. I lucked into getting one the same day as I went in to do the deposit. I've only seen one or two others on the road. It makes me feel unique. And as they say, "Be unique, the world needs more niques."

I have seen the Silver Pine Mica in person and both my wife and I love the color. The green color just looks...environmental? to us. ToyotaNation.com has some decent large pictures.

It is weird that the Pine color seems to be somewhat rare.

Yes, it is a nice color. Afterall if you are going to drive green, you should be green right? Anyway, they call it Silver Pine Mica. In certain lighting it does look somewhat silver.

My wife and I purchased a silver pine mica in January. We saw the color on an Avalon the dealer had on the lot. Looked really nice. The problem is that some models look better than others in a particular color. The bottom line was we did not see the silver pine mica on a prius until ours came in. We are very pleased with the color and have gotten numerous compliments. It is very easy to keep clean and doesnt show the little scratch marks or swirls. We totally love the color and love the car even more. We had the clear bra installed, the BT stiffening plate, vent visors, and side body moldings. The side body moldings really set the car off plus offer protection. I also installed mud guards for added protection. We live in Pottsville PA and have only seen one other silver pine mica. Ours is a package 6. I"m sure that you will be as happy as we were with our choice. Ports

I ordered my Silver Pine Mica #4 in January. Yesterday I actually saw the car its finally here. I ordered the XM radio for it yesterday too. I have only seen two others on the road none in my area. It seems strange there aren't more around since it is the color on the Prius brochure for 2006. Looks like a great color, I do think side mouldings will be in order to help protect and give the sides a little style.

Good luck on your purchase, I am looking forward to mine.

Where can I find pictures of these side moldings?

And where did you pick them up? I'm hoping to add these to mine when it comes in. I'd also like to do a few mods like the Nav mod (removes the 'I Agree' and speed disabled bits), does anyone know if this works on an '06? Anyone know if the CAN-View is being updated for 2006?

Are there any decent photos of a newer Prius with the leather front bra? We'll need something due to our gravel road, but I've seen some bras I like and plenty that I don't...

Well, here I am, 7 weeks after "ordering" my Prius, and still nothing. I spoke with Ernie at Power Toyota in Cerritos and he said, "The car isn't here yet." Riiiiiiiiight.

So, I asked, any idea when you can expect it in? His response, "I really have no idea." Well, at least I can commend him on his honesty.

I also have an order in for the car at Longo Toyota, and they initially told me 8 weeks. I suspect that Longo has a better reading on these delivery dates and that 8 weeks is a more accurate estimate, which would mean I should hopefully see something by next weekend. I looked up the Toyota shipping schedule and as I recall a ship loaded with Toyotas is scheduled to arrive in Long Beach on July 12th, so perhaps I'll hear something this week.

For those who are interested, I was just told by my contact at Longo Toyota in Southern California that right now they can get just about any color except for Silver Pine Mica in about 10 days. According to him, the average time from order to delivery for silver pines is 12 weeks. That would mean I've got another 5 to go. I debating whether I can live with that.

Well, I caved in. Longo Toyota called me yesterday, July 20, with a Blue #3 with tan interior and we took it. By the way, I would encourage everyone to consider buying their Prius from Longo Toyota. They include Sirius Satellite Radio for no additional charge and a free subscription to the service for 9 months! Talk to Joseph Adenihun.

Now I've got to get my deposit check back from Power Toyota of Cerritos.
