Go to your automotive parts store - they've got wheel spray paint suitable for the heat. From memory it comes in gloss, semi-gloss and matt.

Just do it! The wheels look really cool even without paint.

Many of the TAXIs here are missing them too - look fine.

    Yup, male, 28, lol.

    My take: ugh, ugh.

Doesn't anyone like a nice silver rim anymore? Preferably: one that was intended to be seen, not the semi-utilitarian junk Toyota has foisted on the Prius?

I'd be surprised if you would detect the difference in reality without a laboratory and wind-tunnel. You can always put them back on again.

What about beauty rims or trim rings or glamour rims or edge bands? (I don't know the difference, if there is one.) I'm thinking they would fill in the void at the end of the spokes quite nicely, but they'd have to be just right. I'd like to try it, but I can't find anything about what would work. Has anyone done this?
