    Hey guys,
I was washing my Prime this afternoon when I noticed this rounded rectangle on the driver's side. It looks like the EV port but smaller. I've had my Prime for a little over 2,000 miles now and have never opened this thing.

Any clue what it might be for?

I believe it's a fart exhaust port, or FEP!!
If you were ever to open it, you'd smell it!!

I think it is storage for those small objects you might need when camping or cleaning up after the dog on a walk.

(Will the big *** owners manual fit in there?)

  5. Maybe it's how to get to the 4-inch space under the battery :p

There is some special fluid in there that needs to be changed once or twice a year. Some sort of maintenance scam.

I think the fluid is also some sort of special electrolyte, usable as a backup battery. So when a windstorm knocks out the power at home all night, you can still get to work the next day to plug in.

So that lump of metal in front is ballast to even out the balance of the car, compensating for the weight of the battery?
