Entune haters: would you do this if you could?

I rooted my Amazon Fire. I jail broke my iPhone. Absolutely, I would root a car's infotainment system.

Toyota's resistance to ACP and AA is really giving up that advantage to manufacturers that are included even on base trim levels. I'm speaking specifically of the Hyundai Ioniq and Chevy Volt. How many buyers have my opinion? Pretty low for now and inconsequential but did for how long.

 

Given how IOS 11.x has screwed up the iPhone, I'm not sure I care.

Is the Toyota buyer demographic still older? Not having ACP or AA may not hurt Toyota in regards to them.

 

do not know, but there sure are a lot of complaints here.

 

The Prius, and hybrids, might attract more tech savvy people.

 

It's a major fault in the Prius as far I'm concerned, like the rain ingress when you open the doors. That said, it's still high on my next car list!

I install a profile that blocks iOS updates and their notifications. I never install a x.0 update and wait for the x.x.1 update. If I had my druthers, I'd go back to iOS 7. It worked perfectly with Entune. But nothing else will. I try to trail Apple a few months in running the iOS updates. No updates for a couple of months means not too buggy.

 

I do admire an honest Apple fan.

 

Intermittent dropout of podcast audio on the way to grocery store. Once I got there, a power-on reset of the iPhone. On the way back, no further dropouts BUT it flipped to playing the 'sound of silence.' When traffic allowed, I manually started the next podcast.

My phone is already at iOS 11.0.3. Bluetooth LE is still br0ken.

 

Android may have is faults, but I chose it every time. Saves me quite a few $$$ into the bargain!
