What do you think of them? The HID's are a bit lower price but may consider the LED's too.

Good luck with that! I installed LEDS (w/fan built in) and ever since then my radio won't pick up any station until i turn them off!
Why is that? Why does the fan on the led's cause radio interference and do you know how to fix that?

I am about to go back to using the cheapest halogens i can find due to the manufacture electrical connect defect (that Toyota knows about but refuse to fix at their cost!) blowing my drivers side h11 about every 6 mths! I was spending 55$ for the sylvania ultras until I got tired of replacing them.
Please let me know if you have done the fix for yours yet? I looked into doing the mod but it sounded very complicated, so not sure if i can pull it off, and refuse to pay Toyota 350 or so to fix that wire problem that's causing the premature blowing of that drivers side bulb.

Did your's start prematurely blowing the drivers side bulb like most 3 gen owners?
Also let me know if you know why my led's are causing radio interference, and how to get rid of it? If not I am going to have to go back to halogen, because if the strong halogens are hot enough to blow them with the toyota wiring problem on my 2011 model prius, then I can only imagine the trouble i will be asking for if i go with hid's. Thx

Get the Philips H9 bulbs on amazon, $10/ bulb and much brighter/ whiter then the stock bulbs. All you have to do is remove the little green adapter thing in the plug that connects to your bulb

I have had HIDs for about a year now with zero problems on our 2011. However, I have the ballasts wired using a dual relay HID harness that supplies power to the ballasts from the engine fuse box, not the headlight circuit.

According to Scotty Kilmer, using LED bulbs is better because the temperature of the bulb stays around only 127 F rather than about 750F for normal headlight bulbs. The heat from conventional bulbs is a majority of the reason that bulbs turn yellow faded nasty color.
