that contrasting color really works great and looks nice and luxurious. Well done.
Did you happen to take any pictures of the installation? Did you use a pattern or DIY?

It all started out to protect the light color material in there.

I have a number of pictures for both installations in my albums:D

    Jelloslu:
it is imitation ultra suede, right over the existing covers.:D
I didn't like the center console cover that came with the precision fit car seat cover, just too bulky.
My wife is into sewing so she picked up 3 colors for herself and foe me to use some. I picked the dark brown

The arm rest cover is just pushed in the crack and held in place by the friction and tight joints. Tools are shown, not too hard at all and no door panel pulled.

The lid is glued in place; have pictures:D Made a pattern of that too but beyond the basic shape, I gave up on the paper pattern and just cut it in place and glued it as I went with contact cement.

If need be, I can replace them in the future, very distant future.;)

Those arm rests are mounted to the door panel. Not designed to be removed but they could be. Center armrest can be taken apart and covered like original. I've done that and added more padding.

I'll snap a pic later but I do upholstery for a living. So removing the center armrest and redoing is fairly simple.

Once it's apart adding to the thin factory padding is a must!

What would you recommend regarding padding? I am near ready to do my 2005.

    Thanks, Tom

Ultimately you want something rubbery and dense since your elbow and arm will be pushing on it. But not to thick since it will raise it up higher. Unless you want it higher.

Thanks, I believe there are few upholstery places around the area.
