    I can’t seem to load the letter from the toyota website. I’ll check back tomorrow to see if it works. Might just be my phone.

    Hmmmm.... And I'm leaving in three days for a 900 mile one way drive. But I don't think I-75 offers much opportunity for driving in EV mode, although it does have some big hills in TN & KY.

    Edit to add:
    I logged in to my Toyota page and it showed the recall and that there is not yet a remedy available.

    i saw the other thread. odd recall, and i have not heard of one problem yet. troll bait said maybe the fuse is defective, but i guess you'd have to drive it a lot harder than priuschatters do.

    I could see someone misreading that to mean that Toyota doesn't know yet how to fix it, but it looks like they can fix it with an upgraded fuse, but presumably it takes time to get new fuses made and tested and distributed to the dealers.

    Yeah all the recalls use that same language. Just putting a notice out first rather than waiting for the recall part to be available before notifying.

    Probably boiler plate language intended to keep the masses from barraging service centers till they are stocked up and ready.

    if i wait long enough, i can get the airbag, fuse, and whatever the next toyota recall is, taken care of in the same visit.
    what has happen to toyota reliability? next time around, i might have to broaden my vehicle search.

    I've taken mine on some pretty serious grades in the Rockies, for fairly long segments of time in the summer. Never had an issue.

    Yes....and tons of very long regen sessions filling the pack. (hence why my battery is a little worse than many of yours)

    It turns out that, even though there are some big hills along yesterday's route, not that much regen happened. The biggest hill was under construction, in fact, and it took us two hours to cover those four miles. The only other one that was significant, gave me about two miles of battery.

    Odd. I just had my PiP in for warranty runout checks (five years on the dot since it was sold new) and at the same time they did a recall on a fuel pump pickup thing. Car smelled like gasoline right after (rear seats had probably been out and tank opened at the top). Never said anything about fuses.

    they either don't have the new fuses yet, (we don't) or eu cars aren't part of the recall?

    It’s have had this issue on the same exact hill near my house 2x. I brought it to Toyota but they couldn’t find anything wrong. My “fix” has been to ensure the ICE is helping get up the hill as EV only power will produce a “hybrid failure” message.
