I would really like to buy a copy of the book "The Prius that Shook the World". I can't find one. I would be willing to pay a good price :) Let me know if you have one you might be willing to sell me.

I can email the file to you as long as you have adobe reader and an email that I can send it to. Since someone was kind enough to give it to me I will be happy to pass it on.

It is a large file just so you know.

Let me know if you would like me to send it to you. By the way, this offer goes for anyone who would like the book.

    Thanks & take care,

    Tisza

Does any of the moderators or more importantly Danny ( I know he wont be back for a while but try to pass it along to him in case he misses this post ) object to me giving a link to the PDF? Since its been out of print since, well forever I don't think it would be too much of a problem and if it ever were I would take it down. I of course I would be hosting the file on my own domain.

I don't think there's any objection. It was never sold in the US and I just don't think anyone's going to care enough to make an issue of it.

I've read the book (well, most of it) and I don't rate it as one of the most readable and entertaining books I've ever read! In other words, much of it is pretty boring and hard going. But it does have some interesting history for Prius owners and if a hard copy were available at a reasonable price I'd probably put one on my bookshelf as a curiosity. It also gives an interesting insight into the way Japanese industry works.

if overlooking the obvious awkward translation, i think the book reads fine. it does speak volumes over how Toyota approached the hybrid concept and afaik, it reinforces my already lofty opinion of them as a company i want to deal with.

a great example is this steering recall issue. there have been no incidents attributed to this defect. i cant help but wonder if anything would have been done if gm was the manufacturer. remember Fight Club?
