Im looking for the procedure that shows the health of the 12 V Battery. Can this be done on the Prime?

I sort of think that since Gens 1/2 are being repaired and overhauled more now and that response may be timely. The procedure was similar to my 2005, but also slightly different.

The Repair Manual (available by subscription to techinfo.toyota.com) has a battery inspection procedure, under Power Source/Network: 2ZR-FXE Battery/Charging: Charging System: On-Vehicle Inspection. It includes checks of the battery cables and terminals, electrolyte level, and terminal voltage, which should be 12.0 V or higher, with the power switch off, at 20 °C (68 °F), after operating the high beam headlights for 30 seconds to remove the surface charge from the battery.

The Toyota Warranty Policy and Procedures Manual requires claims for defective 12-volt batteries, whether original equipment (Policy 4.10) or service parts (Policy 4.11), to be substantiated with a failed test result from the GR8 Battery Diagnostic Station (00002-MCGR8), Toyota’s version of the Midtronics GR8 diagnostic charger, or the handheld Digital Battery System Analyzer (00002-V8150).

Or were you, perhaps, asking about the diagnostic mode of the Navigation Receiver Assembly (Entune head unit), which includes a readout of the auxiliary battery voltage? The methods to access this on the Prius Prime are the same as on the fourth-generation Prius, except for vehicles with the 11.6-inch display, on which the HOME switch, rather than the AUDIO switch, is used for Method 1.

Plug one of these into your 12v power port...then without pressing the brake pedal, push the Power button once to give the battery voltage with minimal current draw--should be above 12.0V. Press the power button again without brake pedal to show battery voltage with all car accessories on--should drop into the high 11.x volts. Finally, press power button with brake pedal depressed to put car in Ready mode, and now shows the recharging voltage--should be above 14.0 volts.

Actually this was a video, done by Professor...……? using 3 multimeters
showing 12V, Current in to 12V, and current consumption. He says this check can be used on any Prius . 2000 - 2017. This of course checks the Converter Output.
I have looked in Prius Technical, but cannot now find it, anybody know?
