So, I'm in the market for a gen 3 and I want the features of the Five but like the colors of the Persona Series and the look of the Plus Package. Is it possible to get them all on the same car? Seems the Five has JBL stereo, different headlights, foglights, different wheels and some kind of air circulation button. Persona Series has unique colors and some badging and different wheels. Plus Package has lowering springs, rear sway bar, and body kit. I want the JBL, the Five headlights and foglights, Plus wheels, body kit and suspension upgrades. I noticed a larger stereo screen on certain Prii. Which is the better radio?

Do the Persona and Plus come with powered seats? Were there Fives with Plus Package added? Can you add fog lights to any model (are they all wired to accept lights in bumper and on stalk?). Is it possible to buy all Plus Package parts?

The Persona is a Level Three with some special features. The Five comes with 17 inch wheels, fog lights, LED headlights and headlight washers. You can add fog lights to any Gen III and they sell them for the 2010/2011 and 2012-2015 in the Prius Chat store. The 2012-2015 are more expensive because you need to replace the grill (which comes with the kit). They don't operate off the stalk but have a switch that mounts in the dash and looks factory. I installed them on my 2011 Four and loved them.

I forgot to address the powered seats. They did come on certain models but only in the later years of the Gen III. The 2010 and 2011 Pri had disc drive navigation where 2012 and up the navigation was part of the Entune system.

You can get more information in the Excel spreadsheet here. I did not include the Plus package though.

    Here are the differences.

Let's get the easy one out of the way - Plus Performance Package. This can be added to any trim level so it's possible to get a Five with the PPP.

Persona: It's based on the level Three. It adds

    • Charcoal SofTex-wrapped seats with red stitching
    • SofTex-wrapped steering wheel
    • 17" alloys with "premium finish" (basically the Five wheels with a gunmetal paint instead of silver paint)
    • The steering wheel bezel, shifter ring and door trim accents are in "Dark Chrome" instead of silver.
    • Persona Series emblem
    • Available in Blizzard Pearl (3-coat pearl white), Black and Black Cherry Pearl (dark purple)
    • Available in 2013 and 2015

Both Four and Five have JBL Audio.

    Five adds

    • P215/45R17 tires on 17" alloys
    • LED headlights (2012-onwards, includes LED forward-facing parking light...it's the shape of a checkmark)
    • Foglights
    • Headlamp Washers

Five also has the capability of adding the Advanced Technology Package which adds DRCC, PCS, LKA and 7" high-resolution LCD screen with HDD-based navigation system.

I forgot to add, the 2015 Persona was available in Blizzard Pearl and Absolutely Red so black and black cherry pearl are 2013 exclusives.

I've also added the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Product Information so you can see what each of the trim levels have.

I didn't see any info on the link to your thread about the Plus Package. So am I right the Plus Package was only offered from 2012-2013? Which package adds the HUD or is that a standard feature on Four and Five trims?

My ideal 3rd Gen Prius would be a Prius Five with Plus Performance Package and Advanced Technology Package. Just seems impossible to track any Five with the Plus Performance Package and few with the Advanced Technology Package.

No, I did not include the Performance Plus Package. I think it started in 2011. I can't remember when it was no longer offered.

The HUD was offered beginning in 2012. It's offered on the Four with the Deluxe Solar Roof Package or Five trim with the Advanced Technology package.

I also can't remember if the ATP and PPP were compatible (or if they were mutually exclusive)

So I noticed they discontinued the Persona Series for 2014 but then introduced it again in 2015 and looks like it was the only trim to be offered with side mirror turn signals. Also whats the difference between the Persona Series and Persona Series Special Edition?

The Persona Series Special Edition is the 2015 version with the signal mirrors, grey contrast stitching instead of red and blue footwell lighting (instead of amber in the standard Prius)
