2006: RTD, stopped driving. Now won't start, 17 codes

    Not sure how to look at live data ... ??
    Is that something I need to do while driving?

    You could do the powerbraking test while in parking space. Not driving.

    This forces the car to use electric-only propulsion, I believe. Even if the engine is running.

    Yes. it is another "seat of the pants" kind of test that helps highlight the weak or outlier modules. Espeically at lower end of voltage range.
    The goal is to get the battery drain down to its lowest point. So during the test you want to avoid regenning back into the pack.
    If you watch the energy flow on the mutifunction display you will see energy flowing out of the battery.
    Until the point that bars are very low, and then the gas engine starts up and begins adding charge back into the pack.

    In a low/no traffic area with a steep hill that is a 1/2 a block or a block long.
    Start at the bottom of the hill.
    Reverse up the hill and when you reach the top shift into neutral and then press the brakes to come to a stop. (This avoids regen)
    Coast in neutral back to the bottom of the hill.
    Again, Reverse up the hill and when you reach the top shift into neutral and then press the brakes.
    Repeat until you get to the point when the gas engine turns back on.

    While doing this record, or watch live the voltage readings of the HV Blocks.
    Is there a large discrepancy?
    Does the pack drain much to quickly?
    Etc.
