Can-View & EV Cruise Control

    I have a 2005 Prius package #6. I have three questions:

    1. Does the Can-View void the Prius warranty??

    2. Will their be a confict between the two field installed options?

    3. It looks like verision 3 is the way to go with Can-View. Any comments.

    Hi Bill, the whole issue of "does device XX void the Toyota warranty?" has been discussed extensively on many PriusChat posts, with no really solid conclusion, mainly because such an event has not yet happened anywhere. The consensus is that its not a problem, but the golden rule is, if something worries you, don't do it. For a CAN-view, which plugs into the OBD2 connector, as do many hand-held OBD2 readers, its presumably far less of an issue than hooking up the EV mod, whether by Coastal's cruise control mod, or by mechanical switch or by CAN-view's EV driver option.

    I can see no conflict between CAN-view and the Coastal cruise control option.

    Although all 3 CAN-view versions can download and run the same software, version 3 hardware is the latest. I have tried to incorporate in it all the things PriusChat people have suggested. But if you don't need a relay option, V2 runs exactly the same code and will do the same job at less cost.

    No conflict with the coastal mod! I had that first and added CAN View. I enjoy both.
