It was recommended that I start a new thread for the Prius Prime as it has some additional PIDs. This is the place. I have marked up a Torque Trip log of the PiP Advanced set of PIDs originally supplied by USBSeawolf that I logged and which still function in the Prime Advanced and which do not.

I recently leased a new 2017 Prius Prime Advanced to replace my 2014 Prius PiP. I also used Torque to both actively monitor as I drove and to log a set of PID values for later review on the PiP. I have attached a set of the original PiP Advanced PIDs that usbseawolf200 provided that do and do not respond on the Prime Advanced and have attached the recent Torque PID log spreadsheet with key (Yellow - No response, Green - Response, but calc may be incorrect, Red - No response, not needed). The most important from a monitoring standpoint are SoC% and MG1/2 rpm. If there is any diagnostic or test you would like me to perform using Torque and applying test PID addresses let me know as I can do that.

I have tried adding the torque converted PID address and parameters that Vincent supplied from the ScanGauge translation for the Gen IV Prius. These do not seem to work on the Prime. I included my own variations on the math and used a mix of the original and new headers and addresses and math in a shotgun approach to see if anything worked and resembled an expected result when I scanned at 100% charge, 0% charge and somewhere in between. Nothing did. I am attaching the spreadsheet and screenshots from Torque scan for each of these variations at 100% SoC.

My next step will need to wait as I tried running a short and full scan of all PIDs using Torque scan. I see the PIDs and their responses logged to the console, but once the scan is finished no scan file exists to email to myself. I also checked the folders under .torque and in the torgelogs folder, but see no file created. It seems this is a recent bug with Torque as others in the Torque forum have created a thread. I posted my experience and am awaiting a response from the developer, Ian.

    Hi Cave,

    Thanks for testing.:)

From your screenshots, it may seem not working but the good thing is you're getting positive responses from the ECU, not the 7F negative responses previously. Could you take the screenshots of the full responses from the OBD2 PID Editor (Settings->Other settings->Manage available OBD2 PIDs->Add custom PID)?

    OBD2 Mode and PID : 227A76
Long name : Hybrid Battery SOC
    Short name : SOC
    Minimum value : 0
    Maximum value : 100
    Scale factor : x1
    Unit type : %
    Equation : A*20/51
OBD Header to use : 747

Alternatively, you can also try mode 01 from this thread:

    OBD2 Mode and PID : 0176
Long name : Hybrid Battery SOC
    Short name : SOC
    Minimum value : 0
    Maximum value : 100
    Scale factor : x1
    Unit type : %
    Equation : A*20/51
OBD Header to use : 7DF

Mode 01 did not reply. Attached are the responses from 227A76 for 0, 35 and 71% SoC. They are all the same.

Do you know if the Reverse Beep Disable code is the same for the Prime? 3bac40
I put it into TorqueLite and the app seems to be talking to the wifi OBDII, but the continuous beeps continue.
I see that there is a 327 Terminal app. Could I just send the code using one of those?
Thank you for helping a nube with a cool car.

I used Torque to write the code to disable the reverse beep. Some of the other pids are working from previous set also. I am not 100% certain that the lite version of torque allows update to pids.

No change. The same disable PID used on the gen-3 and my PHV also worked on the Prime.

Ok, thanks. I just sent 3bac40 using a terminal app. Now, anytime I put the car in D or R, I get the Main Warning (triangle exclamation point) flashing and the associated high pitch sound. It does not go off. I waited quite a while. Also, Torque and the terminal app will no longer connect with the OBDII dongle, so I cannot read any codes. Should I even drive it?

Leaving the system connected when restarting the car will trigger a host of errors. Make sure everything is off/unplugged first.

I've used the same phone, app, and ODB-II reader to disable (reduce the beep to one) in Prius at gatherings too. Everytime, it only takes a minute. Just plug in and open Torque to that screen with the widget.

Thank you both. At first, the change did not seem to take. In fact, both Torque and the Terminal app stopped communicating with the car and anytime I put it in R or D, the car gave me the Maintenance Warning (exclamation in a triangle) and a horrible noise that would not stop. I left the car for 30 minutes to go sulk about how I was now going to have to go into the dealer and had just cost myself hundreds of dollars. But when I came back out, not only was the Maintenance Warning gone, but the reverse beep as well !! In any case, thank you very much.

for the record, I ended up being able to do it with TorqueLite. Thank you for your work.

Are the full set of PIDs for the Prime still unknown? I've got a Bluetooth OBD2 module, and managed to turn off the backup beeps with the Prius Tweak app, and am looking at basic data with Torque Lite, but sure would like the get the full suite of PIDs working...

So the battery SOC PID 747:227A76 doesn't work? I can only get 7F response.

Purchased a new prime and miss information like RPM engine temp etc. I have an iPhone now but my old android phone has been put into use for this purpose. Using hybrid assistant but also bought and want to learn how to setup torque.
Love seeing kW pull or push from electric motor and engine rpm.
Hoping to learn how to add the additional codes you have shared and getting a really good view of what is going on in my hybrid system ! Exciting stuff

The app was recently updated. It's quite nice. Here's a recent drive I captured on the way home back from work...

What ODB device do you use? My BAFX Bluetooth for Android ODB2 unit doesn't dispay the braking data for some reason...

Does anybody have a State Of Charge pid for the Prius Prime? None of the custom ones, or the ones in this thread work.
