We have a ‘13 V with 102k miles. Have had it for about 6 months. Lately the PWR mode on the center console quit activating when the button is depressed.
When the ECO bottom is depressed the ECO indicator comes on in the display. Depress ECO again and the indicator goes off. Press the PWR button, and nothing! (?)

No trouble codes. The car otherwise functions normally.

    Any thought?

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the switch is gummed up with some coffee or coke.

is it possible that you have power mode, but the light burned out? can you tell from the throttle response?

You can see all the leds at startup for indicator checks. Usually the whole display dies or pixels get stuck. I have heard people complain here about gumming up the switch. So as I have suggested before, google something like “priuschat power mode switch” outside of this forum (searching here fails), then you will find salvation. Or at least a way to clean the button and leave salvation to the telemarketers who make money without taxes. And to be generous to the searching compromised, try How to - Cleaning sticky mode buttons. | PriusChat or buy a new module (which is networked like everything else).

@bisco, Im not sure if power mode is actually activating -- I'll investigate further to rule out a faulty indicator.

@rjparker, thanks for the info on the switch and the link to the tutorial. Those two pieces of information are going to help me diagnose this. BTW: the PWR mode doesn't come on at start-up. Neither does the ECO mode indicator -- unless it was in ECO when the car was powered down.

"Normal" mode is when neither ECO nor PWR is activeated.

I'm still back on my heels over nearly $50 for a switch.

I actually thought that wasn't such a bad price for a 3 switch cluster.
