Waterobert, you should go and check out Toyota Carlsbad, I bought my Prime Advanced there last month, and I was able to purchase it for $1000 below the invoice pricing. In addition, they also have the Prime Advanced in Titanium Glow, Stock# 42545, VIN JTDKARFP7H3058275. If you message me directly, I can provide you with the salesman that I dealt with over there.

I did exchange few e-mails with Dianne in SoCal and things are looking very promising.

That’s great . Dianne and her crew are great to work with. She has lots of Primes to pick from.

Waterobert, the tax credit was signed in to law. The odds that Congress in the next session will repeal it are (IMO) next to zero.

I would wait for the desired color unless you can screw the dealer down in price for a car on the lot. As already suggested, if the car isn't delivered in 2017 just have your withholding adjusted so that ~$4500 less is deducted.

As for registration, isn't the temporary registration placard that the dealership tapes in the rear window, sufficient?

For insurance, many of us have policies on existing cars that automatically cover a new car for a short period (30 days?), allowing so time to get the details to the insurance company. So the new car is already covered as it rolls off the dealer's lot.
