On the third day off the ownership I am still very satisfied with the vehicle. My last car was Toyota Highlander, so I do miss the power and acceleration off my last vehicle, however Prius doesn't disappoint in that regard. It has just enough for my needs.
One thing I am a little wary is about is electric drive range. My first full charge gave me only 19.9 miles, second a little over 20 miles and this morning I got 21.1 miles. With each charge I am getting more, however still far away from advertised 25 miles. Temperature in my garage is about 68 F, so not that cold. Did I get bad battery? Anyway I still love that car.

did you make a mistake when you filled out your profile? You said your last car was a Toyota Highlander. So do you have a 2012 PIP or a Prime?

The faster you drive (expressway driving at 70 MPH) will give you lower EV range on the guess-o-meter. driving 35 45 MPH will give you the higher EV range of about 30 36 miles EV on the guess-o-meter

I don't think you have anything to worry about. The numbers will come as you learn how to drive the car. Keep in mind that "full" tank (gas and electricity) from the dealer may not be so full. Check & set the tire pressure and take a look at the fluids. Enjoy.

There seemed to be a break in period for mine. Range grew over the 1st month or so to almost 40. But cold weather has affected it now. I know you don't deal with that in Calif. Keep driving...it will grow.

Sounds good, perhaps Toyota placed some kind off safety limit.
Is it worth to buy additional charging unit/cable? I looked on line and prices are from $300-1000. Will 15A unit charge my Prime any faster? Prime's charger uses only 12A.

The EVSE doesn't determine charging rate the charger inside the car determines the charging rate.

Right, so unless I go to 220V I will always have to wait about 5 hrs for full charge.

there's also a setting in the MID where you can set the charging rate to 8 amps, that's if your house wiring has an issue with 12 amps tripping the breaker:D

Actually, a 220V charger will charge the battery in about 2 hours 20 min vs. over 5 1/2 hours for 110V. However, if you only charge overnight that is not much of an issue and not worth the extra $ for to install a 220V.

In my single car garage I have only one outlet and it is 120V. Getting 220V would probably will cost few hundred $.
My work commute is 11 miles one way, so I am good with charging overnight. I might talk my employer into installing charger. I will be the second employee with electric car.

speed, stops and starts, acceleration, hvac use and weather will effect your ev miles. measure your distance as you drive, and compare it to the estimator.

My fourth charge gave me 22 miles, so in few days I should get 25 miles.

Remember, your actual miles traveled in EV aren't affected by the estimated guess-o-meter's displayed number. Actual EV miles very due to cruising speeds, terrain, temperature, driving habits, non-driving parking duration (in days), headwinds, weight load in the car, Earth's direction of spin, calories consumed at breakfast, what day of the week it is, etc., etc.

Took about ten charges to get the meter up to 31+. Been going down since the thermometer can't raise as high lately.

    Congrats on the new car!

Thank you for the good news. This morning meter gave me 22.6, so slowly with each charge it's going up !

It’s just averaging. But since it is settling (going up) so slowly, I would say that you won’t reach 25 miles with your current driving habits. What are your eco scores usually? What’s your commute like? The most important thing with evs are speed, AC, and if you are stopping smoothly. You might have to adjust your driving style to see any dramatic improvement.
