Prius C Traction Battery please help i am out of ideas

    Stuff fails; often you can't really know exactly why.

    BUT......you haven't convinced me yet that your HV battery is the main (or only) problem.
    I think there is a good chance that your are about to make a BIG mistake if you blindly replace the expensive battery without some proper tests. YOU SHOULD NOT GO BY THE CODES ALONE.

    Update- I was able to purchase the 2014 prius c battery (29k miles on it) and installed it on my 2013, drove it from Miami fl to homestead fl and I haven't notice the symptoms that I used to notice with the original battery, in fact I noticed that this one takes longer to discharge in traffic lights or at stops I want to give thanks to everyone that contributed in this thread and a special thanks to @TMR-JWAP for letting me know where the battery was, I'll keep you guys updated.


    Hv battery replaced at 121k miles.

    It gets hot here in south Florida especially during the summer, I was wondering if there is any way to change the hv battery cooling fan perimeter, instead of waiting for the battery to get hot why not have the fan turn on before.

    You might want to send your request to jeff @ Prolong Battery Systems. Extending the life of your hybrid. – Hybrid Automotive who makes grid chargers for hybrids. Part of that system is hooking up a controller to the fan wiring to operate it independent of the car. He is contemplating providing some sort of device just for cooling (you won't need the rest of his grid charging system).
