I use them on the splash shield mostly and have them for other members when we have meet ups;).

But they seem to fit multiple places, so I put them where they are needed(y).

Those clips are used extensively. You may find some on the undertray for example. There are also larger ones on the undertray.

As far as washing under the hood I do it every time when I wash the car at home. At car washes not so much. Use a garden hose not a pressure washer, and dry using a micro-fibre cloth. Water only, no detergent necessary. I clean with a large hand mitt, mostly to protect my hand from the sharp stuff under the hood. ;)

Good pdf Mendel. I saved it to my Prius folder for future use.
@ David, I checked the part numbers from the pdf Mendel posted. None of those clips are matching the ones I posted in my post earlier post. I am sure they are very similar but probably different in size.

The one you're holding in your pic certainly looks right. Camera mis-focused on part number (easy to do) but it appears to have the pebble grain, and one tang longer. That's the one I'm sure, part number 90467-07211.

If you google you see reference to "radiator sight shield". Strangely hard to find on Toyota parts sites, in situ with that "sight shield".

    Hi guys,
Just a quick update on this clip adventure. I ended up ordering a set of 10 from Amazon. The cost was just around $8 (shipping included).
I returned the 2 I bought from Toyota at $3 per piece. Such a ridiculous price to pay for a piece of plastic.
I did so because I realized that I needed at least 3 of them to replace all of those non-original clips I had on the front of my engine bay. And paying less for 10 was obviously a more logical solution. I now have 7 left in the bag in case I need them in the future.
There were even cheaper solutions on Amazon or ebay. I found 20 or even more for the same price but I wanted to get OEM clips not some after market el cheapos (call me a nerd...)

So the pack of 10 I got is below for those who are interested to see...

    That’s a couple gallons of gas ;).

I’m sure they gave a look on the return though:whistle:.

If you don’t have a need for it, let some one else contribute to their bottom line (y).

If I hadn't returned them, then I would have conflicted with myself I guess.
As Ray mentioned above, Driving for additional 120miles or so is a better choice than having two clips imho.(y)

That clip may be missing because some one was looking at the radiator. Maybe the engine coolant was changed.
I would pop that cover off and check the rad coolant level. The overflow may be full but on a g2 the over flow
Can be full and the rad itself may be low. Not sure if it’s the same on a g3.
You’ll find the rad cap under that sight shield,

See what’s been done to the car go to Toyota.com/owners forum and join and list your vin and you will see 3very visit it’s ever seen at a Toyota repair center.
